When we got it in quick we were dangerous. When we stuffed around with it by being too cute or indicisive we turned it over and Souths ball movement killed us. Finished the seaon where I thought we would but not were I hoped.

PS Thanks Sammy
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Dangerous? The Bays?

I hope you have some tried and tested recruits lined up because it's not just Sammy that you are losing. Half your side can't wait to get out of there. You are very lucky not to have finished second bottom. Next year will see you drop to bottom, see ya later Massie and back to the drawing board and the dark days of sitting bottom for years to come.

The fact is your coach is shit. So is ours but that's other story.

Wow! Did Massie steal your missus or something, you seem rather bitter toward them. ;)

Another chapter in the Kris 'I'm too tired to play finals' Massie story can be written.
'People are not stupid. They know when they are being conned. And two reserves teams operating in a League competition will reduce it to a farce, a competition without a soul.'

Bruise free footy in the first half. Lewis Hender giving the South supporters a send off in the first quarter the only highlight. After the Houlihan tackle in the third, game on. South too strong in the final quarter and a bit.

Fairly entertaining game. Spirited is a word seldomly used to describe South, but there was a bit on show in the second half. With ziltch on the bench in the final term (including Rolfe who had kicked half a dozen goals to that stage) and Liddle hobbling in a forward pocket, it was pleasing to over run the Bays. Loved Liddle's tackle in the last that set up a McKernan goal. Wundke unsighted for 3 terms before bagging 5 in the final quarter, a couple of which were gems. Hopefully Cross puts pen to paper soon, while Watson showed a bit in his busiest game for the year.

Hard year to assess for South. Much more consistent than last season, yet we'll finish 4 rungs lower on the ladder. Massive opportunity wasted really. It's been said 1000 times before but narrow losses, especially at home killed us. As for the Bays, pretty p*ss weak fade out given they had it all to play for today. Still a fair portion of us on here had them finishing bottom two before a ball had been kicked.

Button to get weeks for the sling tackle? I didn't see it personally so can't comment.

Glenelg by 94 just going through the motions with Trembath kicking 11 and giving a couple off. I think South Reserves showed why South went backwards, they have no depth at all.

not a bad way to finish a disappointing year. Dunno what it is with us and the bays , seem to have a good record against them.

got a bit of a giggle to see Hender and Davenport having go at each other when hender didnt handball and had a shot himself at the southern end. Probably the two biggest goal hungry blokes in the comp

Bays finished about where they deserved to finish, played some good footy and plenty of ordinary footy, but one positive was the team gave 100% all year, cant ask for anymore than that. Wasnt always the case under Mickan.

Cheers. From memory Trembath was very good in your narrow win at Noarlunga. Might have kicked 4 or 5.

Some chance of a vote. 30 touches, 7 tackles. Some very good handballs in tight.
