Sunday Mail / Adelaide Now write up re North vs. Glenelg match listed 10 players in the best for North yet Clinch and Miles not amongst them even though they were 1-2 for North at Presentations?

I know people view games differently and often the coach awards a player best for doing a particular job but how Jai Bednall missed Clinch in the best 10 is baffling - especially given it was indigenous round!

Reading yesterday's match report on Adelaide Now you would be forgiven for thinking that the Wiggles beat Norwood in the 2011 GF, not Central. Very poorly worded article.

I like the editorial piece inside the main news part of the Sunday May (Page 15) talking about how Central have made the "SHOCK MOVE" in a "STUNNING PLOY" to advertise for senior players for 2013.

Doesn't the writer realise that Central have done this regularly in recent years.

Nothing shock or stunning about it.

Or would the truth stuff up the stories theme which is that this advertisement "adds strength to suggestions Central's dream run hangs by a tread"

Agreed PH good point. Also The Advertiser have used an incorrect ("mutant") logo.

I think the club would have emailed the logo in to go to print...

OK. Thanks Phil apologies to The Advertiser.

I wish the club would destroy that ugly version and use the proper one then.

Broke, tired, sick in the guts, and the house is strewn with chocolate and cheap plastic toys, half of which have already broken.

Sounds right.

We've a family rule that we go every 3 years, this (and a bottle of Scotch) is my only comfort this evening.

Re: Advertiser again!!

I made the mistake of purchasing my first Advertiser in months today.
Thinking that the SANFL finals are starting this weekend and that they have a footy liftout in Monday's Advertiser I'd get a good run down and lead up to this weeks finals.
Not a thing, only a couple of small summaries of yesterday's games and details of who's playing next week.
Sporting things I did get to read about however:
1) The captain of the Australian's woman's wood chopping team is the fastest underhanded axewoman at this year's show.
2) Rory Sloane's favourite TV show is How I Met Your Mother.
3) Stuart Wigney played in 3 finals for the Crows while Randall Bone managed 2.
4) Thailand's Pattaya Tadtong made the invidual boccia final on the weekend at the paralympics.
5) Clint Bowyer won the rain-delayed NASCAR race at Richmond.
6) Sydney's soccer club expect to sell some jersey's this year
7) Bernard Tomic is a knob
8) Some Ukranian beat some German in a boxing match
9) Glenelg Golf Course has some good grass (that took 7 paragraphs to convey)
10) A Russian won the 20th leg of a bike race in Spain.
11) Camille Little scored 28 points for the Seattle Storm.
12) A horse called psychic Mick is having a rest
13) A Hlebnikoff from Central won the SAHPA endorsed Nundroo 690kms pigeon event, there were 160 owners and 2906 pigeons involved. Kudos to the Advertiser for not only giving us the winner but the next 24 place getters. I was disappointed as B.Renton and son only managed 14th place, been a big fan of their's for years.
14) Port Power are delivering a 5 year football plan despite not having the money to last one year.
Remind me not to ever ever buy this heap of rubbish again.
