Thoughts? Thought it was obvious. Morialta won the premiership in 2010/11 and remained in Div 2. In 2011/12 Morialta won every match, except two. (They lost one during the season and then the Semi.) But, expect resistance from one cranky old Assoc Treasurer.

Enfield only won three matches for the year, not worthy.........yet.

i would like to see enfield come up, better facilities, better oval, closer to home...never enjoyed the flight out to morialta

Don't fly Jetstar.. No inflight meal. :)
There are two sides out there today, only one is playing cricket. Us of course.

If Morialta are going to be competitive in Div 1, bring them up. But where have the young blokes from Seaton gone? Harris and Trainos?

as an enfield player i would love to have a crack at divvy 1. i know our a grade didnt perform overly well last season, however there was not one game were the a grade fully clicked and i believe if everyone performed at once then we would be competitive.

Also, what are everyones opinions of the other grades relegations and promotions.

div 1 to keep vista, rose park, fitzroy, lutherans and nek. supposedly seaton going down.

div 2 to keep vista b, lutheran b. enfield or magill to go up. paralowie out and nek b should go down.

div 3 had enfield b, seaton b, fitzroy b, western X1, magill b, central mission.

div 4 had brooklyn park, lutheran c, enfield c, rose park b, wingfield, fitzroy c.

the make up of teams in div 1 affects the other grades promotion/relegation.

4 Divisions of 6 teams is retarded.

should be 3 grades of 8.

Div 1 same as last year plus Enfield and Magill
Div 2 8 B grade teams
Div 3 C grade teams plus C/M,Wingfield, BP

And if teams complain to the exec. then the exec. should whip there balls out and say look at these and leave it like that.

Peace out 8)

I believe S Holland may be going to NEK in a leadership role

Good appointment by Rose Park on there coach. Guy has forgotten more about cricket than most would know.

here are my thoughts for the upcoming season in Div 1

Premiers - Fitzroy (Mr Yap back to lead the charge!)
Wooden Spoon - Rose Park (only because S.Holland will be playing out there)
Player of the Year - Rick Marshall from Para Vista, he can bowl, bat, field, walk the talk, best strut in the game, say no more
Comeback player of the year - Rob O'Gormon - this guy is the Ken McGregor of SACCCA, promised so much but not delivered, may this will be his year from all the fanfare!
Most attractive - Auto of course!
First player to call it quite in season 12/13 - Smasha
biggest shock in carnival team selection - 45 yr old I.Henderson
Best umpire - Anytime George umpires a Para Vista game

anyone else caer to have any awards that i can look in my crystal ball and predict?

They are still there. I caught up with Traianos the other weekend and he said that he doesn't want to play in Div 2.
If Harris was actually allowed to take some of the players hiding in their B's (Kirtland, Domanski? etc), they would have been a little more competitive.
I remember our RD 10 game last season, they had a couple of 50 year old ring-ins playing, whilst these guys were playing B's :?

IMO Seaton should stay in Div 1. They need to be told to field their strongest side in Div 1 (Which is what ALL clubs should be doing anyway). Traianos and Harris would be Carnival possibilities and they'd much prefer to be facing the likes of Balding, Vines, Clarke, Henderson etc than what's on offer in Div 2 (Besides OBB of course).
It's Somma Time!

I do like the predictions but what about?
Association Coach?
First Player to be Reported?
First Player to pull one in on the Carnival?
Best Recruit?
Luckiest Player in the Comp?
Most underated?
