I'll definately be choosing a different area to sit when we play north in future games. The garbage coming from a large group of people whinging about umpiring non stop for two hours on the hill was painful. If your team had of been first to the footy for the first three quarters you might have got a free. The game was done and dusted from the first bounce. If I had of had $1000 bucks in my pocket I woulda threw it on with confidence after the north player kicked a ripping goal on his left foot in the pocket at the northern end and then ran back to the centre barely getting a pat on the back. They didn't even look interested

You make some good points especially re the goal Max Thring kicked early which at that time made it 2 goals each. Whilst the umpiring wasn't good in some parts it had no bearing on the game and South deserved all the frees they got for playing in front and being first to the ball. I only got frustrated with the umpires a couple of times and it was because they were looking into the sun and missed obvious free kicks. I know they can't be on all sides of the play but they sometimes need to better position themselves so they don't spend half the game with their arm up trying to act as a visor!

BTW - you must have been one of a very small handful of South supporters on the hill - embarrassingly bad from a home team perspective!

Average - tried hard but he and Johnston got very poor delivery for most of the game so that didn't help.

You are dead right there .... Very ordinary showing from our fans ( not that there are thousands of them ). I try to get to as many games as i can. And enjoy the banter on the hill. SANFL umpiring can get very frustrating at times but god .... Some of the comments we were hearing and im not talking from the odd one or two. You would think if you enjoy the game enough to drive from Prospect to Noarlunga you would be a regular at the footy. But there were many that showed they know very little about the game.

Hopefully we can knock the bays off down there and look forward to next year. Hopefully the footy department are on the front foot finding the players we need to take the next step and play finals footy on a more regular basis.

We stand in big group and a couple of the regulars are pains in the ar$se to us with their one eyed anti-umpiring comments and one of them was on fire yesterday.

As OTR said, a lot of the regulars are the one's who constantly complain, I spend more time laughing and arguing with them than barracking usually. Some have the same mentality as Crows or West Coast supporters but they are passionate.

I find that one of the most infuriating things as a supporter. Your team is in control then just suddenly sits back and lets the opposition close the gap with a flurry of late goals.
Good sides don't drop their guard like that. They kick on.

I reckon Sturt might have had 4 ex-Roosters line up in the league side in recent history; not sure if they managed to all play against North though.

Sturt could have had 4 Tigers line up against the Bays this year but I don't think they managed more than 3 in either start.
