Where will the SW v Unley game be played?
If at Unley is that a big or small ground, only asking to see if SW have a chance of beating them next week.
I think SW need a big ground to play to their strengths & have any chance of winning.

I watched this game yesterday NM
Unley would want to pay anything to get it on their oval - no way any team, including Scotch, would want to play Salisbury West on a big oval. Unley would need 22 Khabbazs to get close (Get working in it Les)
There were 22 european wasps flying around Salisbury Downs Oval yesterday.
I dont reckon they had a player over 185cm - If they had 2-3 195cm blokes, they would be unstoppable
To Pulteney's credit, they never gave in.
SW had the 3 goal wind in the last quarter and it could have got really ugly with them up by 6 goals at the change, but Pulteney held them to 1 goal.
Talking with David Bailes afterwards, he did a D1 game last week and said Salisbury West was right up there.
I forgot to ask him if he thought they could beat a D1R side :(
Kingswood Oval is a different story though - this will be a ripper match

Ehhh whatever, you can 'troll' like a 14 year old virgin all you want. And of course there are nerves, it's a final. Also I know for a fact some coaches like the thought of pulling one over the other teams eyes and looking like a hero. No, I'm not referring to troy hall either. Enjoy your holidays choccies![/quote]

Holiday ??
I've still got stuff to do next weekend !!!! ;)
If you honestly think coaches do that then you obviously have escaped some sort of mental institution....

20 cents says O'Donovan doesn't line up for Scotch in the A's with a broken arm and Ben Johnston comes up from their B grade considering he is one of their top half dozen players.

Why do you care what other teams do and don't do ??? If you're planning your game plan and strategy around Sporting Pulse you'd better have a 'Plan B'....
I'll take that 20 cent bet too.... O'Donovan is one tough cookie !!

how did this one end up?

Scotch were better than us in all areas yesterday. They played a really high standard game. We however certainly didn't deliver the quality of football needed to win finals.

Your right Jimmy, playing at Kingswood over Salisbury West is a huuuuuge advanatge. If we lose this one it is a massive balls up, but I think all the boys will have the right attitude and be ready to bounce back.

Well done to the 2s and 3s making it to another set of GFs!

Jimmy, David Bailes has been umpiring for 40+ years he would suffer from CRAFT and most probably thought he was umpiring another D1 game yesterday ;)

A 2012 denomination Australian 20 cent coin would be preferable.

On watching I think scotch would be able to match it with some of the top 5 sides in div 3. Unley on the other hand, skills wise didnt look like a minor premiership side. After speaking with some of the jets players, they were pretty confident coming into this game and thought they had the game/premiership in the bag and were looking forward to coming up to Div 3. It might be a tough week next week for them aswell after losing to Salisbury by 8 goals only a few weeks ago.

Unley should bounce back next week.

Unley shouldn't have been in this position!

Why's that Emerson?
Scotch are a bloody good side.
Have the best forward in the comp and have managed to just slide an ex-AFL and SANFL skipper into the middle for the finals.
Scotch too good yday. Jets were down a bit, but no disgrace losing to scotch.

Good game out at Salisbury West on Saturday between Perrie OS and Salisbury West. Pulteney had a fair crack but just couldn't match the Tigers running game. They definitly know their strength and play to it with great discipline. Their spread around the ground is amazing and I think it has been mentioned on here, but if they managed to get a couple of blokes over 6 foot they'd be very hard to stop. They have a great future...

Look forward to this weekends games in both A's and B's !!

I thought he went well ....gave Scotch first use on a number of occasions.

Unley looked to be really stretched by the Scotch big men and appeared to struggle with match ups and Cahill was just about unstoppable all day, his marking skill were first rate, they are going to be tough to beat.

See you out there on Saturday Choccies... my shout I rekon (I've got some 1 cent pieces if you need them ;) )

It's OK turk, I used to work at the RBA, I have shedloads of 1's.... ;)
I'd like to see Cahills' accuracy ratio... Could have killed us twice if he had the radar pointing in the right direction....

Watched the Unley and Scotch game on Saturday Cahill seems to be one of these blokes that kicks through it when a long way out and gets some accuracy. When he gets a bit closer he tries to steer it and pokes at it and the yips set in.

Thought Unley burnt a lot of ball and just made it hard for anyone up forward. Nelson provides a bullocking midfielder that can take a tackle and release the runners and on a shortish ground once your heading the right way and you can get it deep the pressure is on.

Unley have some work to do before Saturday but they didn't get where they are without ability.

If you look closely, the Scotch players never take their eyes off him when he's kicking for goal. There are more potential falcons in the Scotch forward line than the entire PNU junior programme
