The Haven v Lutheran game today was again, another example why 17 year olds should not be field umpiring a level they've never played. They crucified haven in the last quarter and shifted momentum that Lutheran didn't earn. From what I saw Luthies wanted none of the physical ball and because haven were hell for leather at it and Luthies were reaching.... They kept playing for frees and got them. Big bunch of whingers and front runners. Well done havens! Their number 29 saved the game for the magpies!

Smartest thing you've ever posted. I was expecting some vintage source....

Well done to our B grade today, 4 goals to zip down at qtr time, to come back and boot 8 to 0 in the second! Harvs has them playing as a unit, a massive test against the minor premiers Lutheran this weekend down at hope valley.

Fine weather til Wednesday, then rain.
Luthies will be hoping for a good day Sat to knock off HV... Don't get me wrong can still beat them in the wet as they did in rd 18.

Fantastic win for us yesterday to get into the grand final, great effort by all involved. As for the game yesterday, We started well controlling the game for most of the first half. An inaccurate third quarter where we should of put the result almost beyond doubt almost came back to bite us as AL slammed on 4/5 goals in the last quarter to hit the lead. Our boys lifted another gear in the last ten minutes and kicked three unanswered goals to set up the victory.

Like last week the umpires were again, even hotter on free kicks such as high, holding, pushing in the back an holding the ball. Most of them I thought were there, the game was pretty sloppy all day.

There was one decision that stuck out for me in the last quarter when AL were coming out of defence and a player was running forward with the footy, was chased and dragged down from behind, released the footy and just got his boot the ball, kicking it forward along the ground. Poor bloke got done for holding the ball and cost AL a goal. I was happy we got a goal out of it but still it was a horrible decision. The umpire had full view of it too.

Now we play the waiting game to see who our opponent will be in two weeks time. I'd say that Lutheran are favourites to beat BL next Saturday but in saying that I do think that Brahma are capable of causing another upset victory. It's finals footy, anything can happen!

On a side note, Kilburn is a great surface and their facilities are very impressive, especially their weights room.

I went to Pt.Districts V Portland yesterday (yes i know its Div 5 forum) But was good to see a game in a higher grade and to be honest the main difference from our grade is the quicker ball movement as the most of the skills weren't that much different just a quicker game. Good to see Nth Haven lads dressed up and enjoying themselves i hope they watched their Bgrade 1st ;) Carl Furbow and Pashy were dressed rather sharply not sure about the drag queen though

Cheers TT, agree with your comments, first quarter really got us going kicking 8 goals to HV's 1, and that was basically what we won by in the end. It was a fairly even contest after that. Hags was easily beaten i thought, he didn't have the freedom he has had throughout the season just floating back and taking mark after mark, a credit to big Bellman on shutting him down and Mods done a great job on Duggy again... Good to see Duggy hang around for a few beers, shots and funnels.. all this at 5:30pm

All recruits to BL have been fantastic this season and are clearly a huge reason why our season has turned around from last year, i think we will be competitive in division 4 with this current side.

Anyway, that is looking too far into the future... Bring on 2 weeks time i say!

Goodluck to Valleys and Luthies this weekend... hope you beat the living hell out of each other

To all Brahma Lodge, Adelaide Lutheran and North Haven posters, or anyone else venturing out to Hope Valley Oval this Saturday -
please be aware we will be charging $5 parking to enter the ground. If you could do your best to let all your PLAYERS, OFFICIALS and SUPPORTERS know about this, it will hopefully help avoid any surprises or long walks. Cheers

I can say with 100% certainty that if North Haven had a fenced off oval we would do the same thing
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Any club with a fenced off oval would do this. Cant hold it against a club if the rules permit it then go for it.
