I think us centrals fans could get a "liquidation" chant going for the last quarter atleast .

We could take a leaf out of celtics book and perform the huddle.:-)

take a black & white coffin & carry it around the ground....like they did to Us.

Not a bad idea at all!!!!

So instead of a coffin, it would be more appropriate for the Central fans to wrap a dose of herpes in black and white?

North have had 8 of our 10 losses to date against the 5 teams who sit beneath us on the ladder. As underserving as we were last year to finish 8th and just avoid the spoon, we at present would be the worst performed 4th place finisher I can ever remember? There have been cases for some clubs scraping in and making up the numbers from 5th in the past with losing records but North could quite easily set a new standard of below average and finish 4th???

Unfortunately that is the case. It could easily be the other way around and be very intriguing, but we all know that our sides haven't played to a consistently good standard - many blowouts and only a handful of exciting games between the 4-9th teams. I find it hard to believe the Eagles are in the five and reasonable chance of staying there even with a loss, I reckon we have played like a team that should finish 7th.

Still plenty to play out next round, Port are still an outside chance to make the 5 and North still a silly chance to miss.
Could have a scenerio where both Eagles and Glenelg lose and whoever loses by the least scrapes in.
For fairness in the draw all games should be on the same day, I find it quite unfair that the sides playing on Sunday get an advantage in knowing what has to be done.
Would be much better to have all games head to head at same time like the EPL does

Makes a HUGHE difference, especially if one team knows they can lose by X amount yet still make the final.

Imagine this situation where team A can lose by 11 points and still make the finals. Last few minutes of the game they are losing by 5 points. Knowing whats needed would change the situation dramatically. Or eg, one side needs to win by 4 points and there winning by 3 points in the last minute. They would then change what they ordinarily do.

I hate where teams get an advantage for absolutly no reason other than the manufactured draw.

you cant always measure whether its been a problem.

if you know your result you can rest players, which was the case one year when Central were (top or third) by 2 points entering the last round. We had Norwood away and whoever was (second or fourth) on the ladder lost on the Saturday so come Sunday we rested a heap of players and went on to lose to Norwood but gave some players an invaluable rest because we new we couldnt lose our ladder position.
