Go Geelong!! Their win is great for my footy tips. 8) Still a chance to win the Triple M footy tipping comp I'm in with my mates. One bloke is on 141, three on 140 and two on 139.

Be unlucky to get a game. Was a very soft strike.

Collingwood are surely the most protected team by the umpires.

Sorry Brad but you're not quite right. It's a pretty well known fact that West Coast get a pretty good run with the umpires. I've looked at this stat for a couple of years now and this isn't the first time either. Even when they weren't winning games they still sit either at one or two on a table such as the one above so the normal 'we are first to the ball' line doesn't fully explain this.

The postitive and negative numbers mean the free kicks in comparision with their opponents. West Coast are more twice ahead on the Frees for differential than the next nearest team Port Adelaide. In terms of free against its the same story.

Of course many people have said over the years that the Cats are the untouchable lovechildren of the umpires look at this table and think again. Against St Kilda it was open season on Joel Selwood who apparently gets too many free kicks. When he fought back on one occaision the Saints were gifted a goal. As my son barracks for Melbourne I have noticed that the poor buggers get slammed by the umpires on a regular basis but my mob are 'down' there with them.

So if you are on of the 'tldr' crowd my response can be broken down into - Nope, It's West Coast.

regards,

REB
