Watched the Hunger Games last night .. It rates reasonably well on IMDB and I'd heard nothing but rave reviews from people about it, but it left me feeling pretty underwhelmed. It was OK I guess, but I wouldn't call it great and I wouldn't call it terrible, just OK.

Stanley Tucci and Woody Harrelson are always excellent, and I think they saved the movie from a pretty poor rating.

Did you watch it on the big screen with surround sound etc. It was awesome to see at the movies i thought but is a movie that would have suffered on dvd at home on a 51cm tv ;)

Na mate, almost .. I watched it at home on a relatively small screen marred by childrens fingerprints, through the TV speakers (and with one bad ear) .. Might have lost a bit of the movies appeal it's fair to say

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Probably directed more at teenagers, but was still good.
You're right about those two. Great actors.

Donald Sutherland should have more involvement in the next one and apparently he's quite evil.

Watched the Avengers last night.

Not bad.

Mark Ruffalo is by far the best Hulk I've seen.
Hopefully they make a spinoff with him.

Watched "Senna" last night/this morning .. Covered a period of time when I was right into F1, but didn't know all of the goings on behind the scenes, and had forgotten how full-on the rivalry with Prost was.

Compelling viewing, and I'd recommend it to anyone .. He was such a genius behind the wheel, and perhaps more than anyone I'm aware of took it to the limits to quell his insatiable inner drive to succeed, via various different motivations.

Total Recall (2012)

It's been getting pretty poor reviews and whilst 'good' might be too strong a term I thought it was alright. Seen a lot worse and although compared to the original which is a classic it's a dud I did try to view it as it's own film and was reasonably entertained. The visuals are absolutely stunning, the actors and slightly different plot not so much.

The Avengers - nothing special about it, but was easy enough to watch and had some great one liners .. Robert Downey Jnr and Hulk were entertaining and saved it from being ordinary
