Sorry marbles, you're wrong mate.

Top 3 or 4 of the second best team in the comp. Behind a ruckman as well. Versatile, plays back, mid or forward. Great leader, very solid contributor week in week out. He is in my team, in BP's team, in Yanks team. In nearly everyone's team but yours. Also keep in mind that his brother, and probably harshest critic, does the Sporting Pulse votes for TTG.marbles wrote:morell wrote:I'm with Hanzey, I also had a chat with Dan and he pretty much agreed that Ben would be in the top 3 or 4 players for TTG this year. Looking at the team Yank Man put up I wonder if Noske should be named on the interchange and not in a BP? How much time has he spent in the backlines this year? He went back there when we played TTG the first time but that was more to shake a tag then anything else. Is he stopping a genuine BP from a spot in the team? I think he should be in the team because was fantastic both times we played TTG just not sure if he should be BP. Something different to think about

In other news, great game by the MPFC B Grade. First finals victory for as long as I have been at the club.
Very sad to see everyones favourite player Johnny Byrne head back to Ireland after the game though. For those that don’t know his story – Johnny come over to Australia late last year I think and heard a bit of commotion at the Den during a training. Came and had a look and Troy Pots and Joe Leck went over to say hello as you do. Turns out he played quite elite level Gaelic back home and said he wouldn’t mind having a crack at “AFL”. So out he came and he blew everyone away with his enthusiasm, humility and let’s be honest, hilarious accent.
All the best Irish, you’re a Mitty Park Lion now mate!

Why wouldnt the SAAFL have scheduled the games as follows????

Div 7R - Flinders Park v TTG 11.45am
Henley Memorial Oval

Div 7R - Henley v Mitchell Park 11.45 am
This way only one of the clubs would have been put that the disadvantage (being Mitchell Park) however their B's came through the Elimination Final so fair is fair.....

So late in season we moved him up foward to instead concentrate his kicking towards the goal posts. It paid off and to kick such a big bag in 2nd half of season was outstanding as he now wishes he was up forward the whole season as his tally may have been twice as big
If u asked loveder how his season has been he'd probably tell u its been way too inconsistent. Has played some good games but the high standard he is known for around the league has seen him being double teamed alot at CHF which is a hard enough position to play. i think he's won 3 BnFs at our club but this year a few too many quiet games.
Id hope to see little barrel tom pearce in this side instead (who I only met last year and am no relation too). His consistency has been terrific and to kick nearly 30 goals as a midfielder he'd be second to none. Surprised not to see him invited to medal count in top 10. Rather see him on the flank than wilson

If a coach hasn't got 5 mins after a game to discuss your best players with the team manager..... gee. The best players should stick out in most games. Most young fella's these days live on the internet and to think they don't check the site for results is just naive. I know at FP we post accurate info. By the way good to see no FP players in the supposed team of the year. Not that we really give a toss anyway!!!
Who would you nominate from FP to be in the team of the year Cows? One thing about your team is I always struggled to find a stand out from you blokes both times we played FP. I always felt you had such an even spread across the board which probably went right through your D grade aswell. Although in saying that the first time we played FP at your ground one of your midfielders was really good but I never paid attention to his name. I dont think he played against us the second time.
