commiserations sprint but at least you made it..i know of 2 teams who would have changed spots with you guys :)

agreed.
it killed me to put that last goal on the scoreboard for Lockleys when i could see our timekeeper with his hand on the buzzer.
my young lad was shattered - 9 years old and has spent many saturday arvos in the last 7 years watching the hounds play.

2 close games on the day down there, wasn't the B grade a 1 point result to start the day off?

I learnt you can play 19 players and nothing gets done if you are caught but a free kick and 25m???we caught Cbc in the last with a head count they had 19 and all that was done was the free kick :? No wonder they had loose players, poor rule it was better when score was taken back to 0.0,abit more of a deterant not to cheat

It's official from the saafl CBC score stands. I think you should worry about your player got sent off. That was absolute -a dirty dog act.

Westies obviously couldn't employ their hard running game then?

First half it was sideways rain. Second half dried out. Oval was a bog.

A stiff breeze would have blown SW off the ball however.

And a goal from the free, end result was you won by less than a goal. If all that didnt happen we would have had a double chance ...... so many what if's in a season

I was sure our score was going to get wiped when that happened at United. I thought the free and 25/50m penalty whichever one it is was the result of calling a count and it being proved incorrect.

Dunno if they should really worry that much. Was more of a hard high tackle from what I heard. Maybe a week or so on the sidelines at the most.
The sending off definitely made it tough for PNU though. 17 v 19 makes it very hard to win.
I have definitely learnt in these finals, that when the game is tight, just chuck on an extra player. If this goes unpunished, I might have found myself a new effective tactic to use for when I coach one day.

No Bigshow 82, the fact you had 14 or so new guys in your team means a new era has started. Be positive as Angle Vale did make the Prelim last year with a very similar team. Onwards and upwards champ.

The bloke used his elbow I've been told. CBC never had 19 blokes on in the third term and I have been told the coaches and support staff have taken blame by not counting the number of players on the bench at start of the last term. Players are dumb most of the time and don't take notice where they are playing as they are in lala land.

In the weeks to come I am sure I will sit down and review the season as a positive but at the moment I am still coming to terms with the disappointment that the goal I set at the start of the year was not met and that was to improve on last years standing and win at least one final this season. The wife has been dreading this week all season  :?
