The Hzlwood Pk Cowboys will go into next weeks Division V Grand Final a hot favourite after smashing THE CHAMPS by 356 points in their Preliminary Final. The Cowboys also comfortably outscored both of the other teams in the other Preliminary Final which was won narrowly by crockocrack who completed a miserable Preliminary Final week for JJs Jrunks.

This means that the Cowboys and the crocks are in next year's Champions League but crockocrack will need a miracle to take home their first Hogg Premiership next week.

yes. but i can't be terribly upset. at the half way point of the season i made a decision to load up on my starting 22 (specially my mids) which meant that my bench was reaaallllyyy thin. it worked though. i had a much better second half of the season. the only real hiccups were Judd's 4 week holiday and Swanny's fortnight off.

in the end, not having cover for Selwood and very little for Pav (Wilson with 19pts) is what cost me, but the old saying goes 'live by the sword, die by the sword'. i wouldn't have made finals at all, or maybe just limped in if i didn't go with this strategy. and would certainly have not made a prelim and earnt promotion without it.

Not sure if it would've made a difference but the champs' boss took him out for a few Friday frothies for his birthday and he forgot to do anything with his side, he lost his DT clashes because of this.
