Hmmm...looked like a fist to the face, off the ball, which should see a few matches.

The result was predictable but the margin lower than expected. I felt that Sturt played some good footy in the first and final qtrs but their tendency to go wide at all costs in the second and third put pay to any chance of a victory. That was Ben Kane's best game in Sturt colours I reckon. Jaensch and Tambling were excellent, and if Anderson gets some goal kicking practice he'll make as good a forward as he is a defender. Krause, Sheeds and Greenslade were also good.

"A big thanks to Symes for amusing us in the last quarter with his numerous stuff ups. His kicking is overrated".

Um even we dont rate his kicking.Still a handy player but and should play finals

We weren't threatened, the game was over, it wasn't a stirring comeback. There.

I'm not sure that "allow" is the right word for it....perhaps "making us work hard for a few passages of play" is more accurate, but hey, seeing arrogance is one of your traits.. :?

A big thanks to the "finger dogs" ...the Gowans lads for their finger pointing - they put Sebastian Vettel to shame but he has more years ahead of him to catch up :)

p.s. retaliation is no excuse, but I'm sure you already know that

From MMCM in Local Footy

"Sturt (8). Sturt coach Seamus Maloney was refreshingly honest about his players and there poor defensive spread on Saturday. There were numerous occasions where you saw Sturt players pointing fingers in the backlines after Central had scored. James and Chris Gowans certainly aren't the quickest blokes anymore but they took several uncontested marks inside 50 because the Double Blues didn't pick them up."

3. Brad Symes (Central). There were five or six Central players who deserved votes on Saturday and Symes was one of them for his 30 disposal, six clearance effort. He was the only Bulldogs midfielder to have at least four
inside 50s and four rebound 50s

There was no reaction from the crowd or enthusiasm from your players. They knew they were not going to win or even get close.

Too little too late I guess. Everyone just expecting the Dogs to flex the muscles and put us away, as they did.
It's hard to get an idea of what's going on just by reading sporadic reports on the scores thread. Thanks for your input.
