there you go even the fans and players are more interested in the music being played then the game. You can't even compare a leo Barry moment with soccer, that was purely a skilful moment, playing a game for 90 minutes and not being able to score is unskilful. Yes close are great and yes the draw in the GF was great, but to have a game where no one scores is pathetic and shouldn't even be called a sport.

I tend to agree....and then sometimes to decide who wins this fantastically skilful game, they'll have a penalty shootout! great skill needed to blaze away at someone who can't move until you have kicked it at them from 10 yerds (ish) away at 4 million miles per hour!!

Penalty shootouts are a joke BUT anyone who reckons an elite soccer player is not skillful is an even bigger joke.

Soccer is one of the most techniqul and skillfull games on this earth. You want see any Stevie Bakers in the EPL who have no skill but can round around and harrass people all day.

Having played both sports at a semi reasonable level aussie rules is definatly the much easier to just get on and play. I had zero skill but because i was fit could follow someone all day, didnt mind getting belted back i got a game very regulary. I couldnt kick for rubbish but that was ok just wally the ball onto the next marking contest and it was all good.

Even NRL players can just step across and be decent at AFL, Brad Green was a very high standard soccer player and made it at AFL. Basketballers who have never played the game are comfortably playing Aussie Rules at its highest level.

Wont see to many blokes playing elite soccer who werent playing it as a little kid. You just wont make it if you havent had the ball around you all your life.

Getting into chicks car in Darwin and In the door pocket is a strategically placed open packet of "the pill". Would be a handy sign for any bloke she picked up!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Sorry I forgot it takes a few years of acting class to play soccer. At elite level football is way more skill full then soccer, for starters its harder to kick a football then a round ball you don't have to bounce a soccer ball, and you don't have the chance to get absolutely cleaned up. The two boys coming from nrl to the afl where training for over a year so it wasn't like they stepped over and started playing the same day. It also didn't matter if they weren't that good because they where used as marketing dummies to entice people of from nrl to afl. Players that come over from Basketball usually have played some football before. there is also a lot similar aspects of being a centre in basketball and a ruck man in football. If all of these elite soccer players have had to have a ball around them since they where no wonder why they kick and scream at nothing, because they have had a very boring life.

And it's got nothing to do with the smaller team size or the particpation numbers either or that any kid in a slum can grab a bunch of rags and he's got all the equipment.

you where complaining because you wanted them to show what you wanted to watch and you had the choice to get foxtel. And i'm not complaining i'm just saying how pathetic that thing called soccer is, I wouldn't be caught dead watching it and I wouldn't be caught dead playing it.

You said I didnt have the right to complain... Soccer is so pathetic it is the most played and most watched sport in the world. To label it as not as skillful as Aussie Rules really does demonstrate how ill informed you really are. Maybe you should watch it or play it before you expertly give you opinion on something you wouldn't be caught dead watching.
