South Africa in England

Postby RustyCage » Tue Aug 21, 2012 9:23 am

South Africa's only weakness is the lack of a good spin bowler. Hope we can exploit that when they come out here

Tahir is terrible. Runs around like a total flog when he gets a wicket.

Will get carted in Aus.

Tahir bowled two batsmen all tour.

One a tail ender in a Test, the other the wicket that Bouch copped the bail in the eye.
I hate him. ;)

Nice to see you think we can still bat. Agree about the flog part though.

Taking out the fact that he retired Mark Boucher, he Tahir went through one hell of a journey to even make Test cricket, and needs to be applauded for sticking to it.
I am sure he would sit back somewhat contented at having played ten Test matches, even though his returns have been poor (26 wickets at 40).
They would be better off playing four quicks (Marchant deLange to come in), and getting a few overs out of Duminy (if he's going to start batting seven now he'd better improve those tweakers), rather than persist with a guy (Tahir) who is 32, and not getting any better.
