...

The Power is a fantastic brand and one that should be a marketer's dream. Why can't we be the team for all South Australians? Why have we surrendered that turf to the Crows?

My way will upset many diehards.

Already there are moves to thwart any attempt by me to become president. Those who want the status quo, incremental change and business as usual are gathering forces to stop my ascendancy, should I accept this mission. They need not try too hard. If the powerbrokers (pardon the pun) within the club want to keep things as they are, haven't got the ticker for a shake-up or think they can do better, then simply tell me. I can't even get the CEO to return my call.

I've got plenty in my life to keep me busy and enjoy and won't lose any sleep over rejection. But then there is that part of me that loves a challenge, hates to fail and has this belief that no problem is impossible

to resolve.

I believe the Power can be great again and sooner than many would think. Your call, Port Adelaide.

I'm prepared if you are!
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

For someone who took THAT mark in the '84 Grand Final, I rate KT so highly. Love it when he wears his black and white tie too.

With the crap Foley wrote for today's SM, I'd say he has no chance. And that aint a bad thing. The PAFC is a circus, but we don't need another clown such as Foley.

Despite the narcissism, Foley talks some sense in that article.

But he couldn't help himself: had to have a dig at the boss.

Enough of the self-serving public campaign already...

FORMER State treasurer Kevin Foley is out of the race to be the Port Adelaide Football Club's next president.

Foley tonight returned from Melbourne - where he met AFL chief Andrew Demetriou on Friday - to end his campaign to succeed resigning Power president Brett Duncanson.

"They do not want me," Foley told AdelaideNow exclusively tonight.

"After repeated calls to (interim chairman) Kevin Osborn, they had not responded - so I am not wanted and I won't be running for president."

He would have wanted to sell everything and the Power would have had to train on the Golf course at Outer Harbor or something.

What an opportunity for a coach here. Port Adelaide have won a flag in the last decade and boast a winning record that is far better than 50% of the league.

All clubs face tough questions and I hate Port Adelaide with a passion. Does anyone remember "the death of Victorian clubs" through the early 2000's where Sydney, Adelaide, Port Adelaide, West Coast, Brisbane and even Freo dominated?
Go back to the late 90's where Port Adelaide and Adelaide were number 1 and 2 in memberships and continually packed out Footy Park.
Forget the economy that is an uneducated excuse, English Premier League clubs fill out stadiums with a recession on........what gets people back to the game? Characters like Blight and Williams got attention and their colourful recolections would get people talking.

in all Port Adelaide FC needs to get it's c*** back in to them from board level and they need to spruik they are Australias most succesful football club and tell the world. People will spill their guts and crack the s**** but is prefer them to do that than be the laughing stock and being labelled as soft c****.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

But it wasn't until Foley retired that Labor came even close to losing his electorate. I'm in the minority but I like him, he actually did a very good job with the states finances in difficult times .

I mean the electorate at large, ie. the SA population, not just his particular electorate.

His legacy to the SA economy is perhaps questionable at best.

The Port board should place a huge wager on this and try to get some money in the kitty, they'll probably fill the ticket out wrong though.
