A Member Club that is the highest ranked team in its Division may apply to host a home final or a final on an available neutral oval of their choice, excluding a Grand Final, but must fulfil The League‟s minimum requirements including but not limited to:
1. the ground surface must be in a reasonable condition
2. the change rooms must have reasonable facilities for players, umpires and trainers.
3. [b]there must be reasonable facilities provided for spectators
4. must fulfil The League‟s obligations to its major sponsors
(a) Club must be sponsored by SABC
(b) venue must exclusively supply SABC beers for that event

Not sure Luthies tick all the boxes? I know in the C grade Qualifying Final last year, we got given the opportunity to host it even though we finished 3rd and Luthies finished 2nd. I reckon it will be at a neutral gound

I think fom memory it was to do with the exclusive supply of beer??
When will the venues be confirmed? Will they be online?
They are straight to their word, they don't talk a lot of smoke and mirrors behind windows.

This conversation is like groundhog day, every year sides that play away finals want to complain. As a player and coach we all know the rules. Suck it up and pay due respect to the sides that deserve to play a home final. Only under extreme circumstances perhaps such as some hills football league ovals for example that have not 1 blade of grass on it should the game be changed.

Um, was anyone complaining? Think the convo was in regards to whether Luthies can host a final or not, not anyone complaining about having to play there!

Exactly Bartman, no one complaining where they have to play.
Would be nice to know early.

reckon u r right. Facilities at Lutheran are horrible. Would not tick many of the above boxes. As a spectator I will be staying away if it is played there. Surely the league will make this a neutral venue game. IMO.

If its good enough to play a minor round game then it is good enough to host a home final - not all clubs can have the quality facilities such as North Haven
I do know that the lights work in the Luthy visitors rooms though ;)

Adelaide Lutheran hosted the 2nd Semi Final in 2007, so couldn't imagine much has changed since then, on either side of the coin.

I wouldn't think so, without knowing those conditions you've posted SD my first thought was that the Qualifying final will be at Lutheran, whether that happens remains to be seen. Like Chump said, it'll be nice to know early.

Not sure who was complaining? Everyone is just super keen to find out where they're playing and Luthies had a chance to host a final last year (although in the C grade) and didn't.

Looks like the Qualifying Finals are in the South Parklands anyway according to the first draft

Looks like the draft is wrong, we are the away team in the d5r. For some reason North Haven results have not gone onto sporting pulse from the weekend in the "b" grade.

We're actually in Div 5R DJ, so you're half right. North Haven did finish 2nd in Div5R though

Hit the wrong number, not by the draft.

Someone from West Croydon must have forgot, unless that was Reptiles job in which case I can understand why he forgot.
