Wont happen MICK, and even if it did, rest asured that Kilburn will get something built even biger and better than what they have.
Could they be the first club in SA to have a roof over the stadium, and have feature SANFL sat night games there underlights.
Wait and see !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

Wait and see !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would a Div 3 side be built a stadium that is bigger and better with a ROOF then Div 1 , SANFL and even AFL teams ...... i suspect they would be more likely to close the doors for good or amalgimate with another club eg West Croydon , Wingfield or the STA Sharks !!!
What i dont know about football isnt worth knowing .

Apparently (this is the story I have heard) is that the government will relocate the club - not much chance of an amalgamation or door-closing if that is the case.

Because they can you moron ! You are dreaming if you ever think that Kilburn would amalgimate with another club. Why would the most successfull SAAFL club ever do that Hafey when they are extremely financial with the best facilities going around??
You are a winner Hafey ! Think that 94 GF LOSS is still hurting. Built a bridge Tool !

I think thats the point of the discussion, because they are closing the schools and amalgamating them into 1 super school
Correct me if I'm wrong

I think it's Gepps Cross Primary, Blair Athol Primary and Blair Athol Kindergarten merging to make one big K-7 school, not another high school.

And turkey slapper, I think Adelaide Uni would argue your point about Kilburn being the most successful club in SAAFL history...

just weighing in for what it's worth.

There is a heap of land on Churchill road that is an absolute eyesore, why would they not use this land to build their super school?
It probably belongs to the railways but who has more money?

Kilburn oval caters for so many community activities, its a real shame!
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

amateur football should only be made available to clubs that have a junior program, these clubs or club like adeliade uni should be made to get a junior program. Clubs like Kilburn should be left to do what it does in teach and promoting the game in that area. Clubs like Adeliade Uni that dont do anything for the community, or the well being of the game should be made to merge or develope these sorts of things. If it is not possible to do then the club should have to do a certain amount of community service around the suburbs!! So r Adelaide Uni a more successful club then Kilburn? No they dont have any junior premierships do they!!!!

Unfortunately The Chicks juniors have collapsed this year despite a lot of work from too few. Geppys & Fitzroy have gained from the few that went elsewhere from what I gather.

I can see your point with the junior thing and promoting the game in the area, but Kilburn wouldn't have many junior premierships either I wouldn't think. And it's virtually impossible for Uni to have a junior program since it's a university club, it's not their fault. Does that mean all the old scholars clubs should pay a penalty because they don't have junior teams playing in anaffiliated league (MSJFL, CDJFL, NEMJFA etc)? Should they be punished because the school forces kids to play for the school and not the club? Some clubs like Wingfield would never attract juniors in their area.

Each club is different mate, it's hard to make a sweeping statement like that for all 69 amateur clubs.
