Still a spot for him... :D

Well I guess with Scotty Mac & Adam Ozolins apparently not playing, should free up some room in the ego cap to squeeze him in :P :D

Missed out on playing in a premiership side last season, so might get the bug back again. Hope so, as he's a dangerous left handed bat who doesn't mind commentating while he plays :)

Just saw the proposed plan for this seasons draw: 5 X 2 dayers, 5 X one dayers and a T20 comp during the season. Looks like the T20s will be played on the dates where rounding up players could be an issue eg Oz Day weekend, Test Match weekend, last Saturday before Xmas etc etc. I hope this gets the green light.

Rose Park's back to back title hopes have dipped with the footy injury sustained to Ian Henderson on the weekend.

I think this is an excellent compromise - it caters for all types of players - those who like to play more/less cricket and either play or not play on those extra weekends, while keeping the draw as fair as possible, and providing competition across all 3 formats.

I also think the other latest proposal should be strongly considered:

Proposed rule addition wrote:7.2 (d)

Further, in a programmed one-day game: where a team is victorious batting second they are also eligible to receive one of the following:

a) a bonus 0.5 points if they achieve the win in 30 overs or less or
b) a bonus 1.0 points if they achieve the win in 20 overs or less or
c) a bonus 1.5 points if they achieve the win in 10 overs or less.

To me this is a much better way of solving the disadvantage in bonus points teams get if they bat second and reach their target quickly.

Excellent programme. id like to see A & B grade games played back to back so clubs can make a day of it. nothing better than playing cricket in front of your mates, the smell of BBQ in the air, and not fielding for sixty five overs in a day.

Henderson was instrumental in the premiership decider, bowling 30 overs for 30 runs and smacking some runs late 20-20 style in Rose Park’s monumental score on the postage stamp. Heard the injury is not as bad as first thought, and will be back for Rose Park’s title defence.

Because they played para vista, one of most overrated teams last year, we put up more of a fight in the semi final!
