Well done to the finalists. Go get Rueben and may the best coach win. Sucks to be missing finals but at the same time pleased for REB that the Premier League has become so strong.

I lost my way from rounds 4 to 9 but then I felt poised for a crack until I lost Walker and a host of defenders 5 weeks ago which exposed my bench as being not as strong as it should have been.

Think i missed all my finals in the 5 leagues i am in! I'll be back for another crack next year.

Hopefully we can get rid of that one bad coach next year and have a huge rise in the rankings!

Shall be a good finals series I think. Hopefully barely trading in the last month helps me now

Hopefully I can knock you out of the Hogg for a second season in a row. (Not likely though alas).

Don't know how a side like yours has made top 8. Shows how much this 'premier league' can improve

Hogg Premier League Finals Previews

Elimination Finals
MILLERS MOSQUITOES v Poon Army
The Cat Empire v Underdogs

Qualifying Finals
Darksiders SCE v Don’t Drop Catches
Q Before You v Captain Who?

Darksiders SCE begin their premiership defence in earnest this week with a first up final against the Catchers who have trades up their sleeves. Darksiders are also a team that preserves trades so the additional coverage might not be enough for CoverKing to win this one. In the other qualifying final the in-form Captain Who meets Q Before You head on in a fight to get the week off and avoid the Darksiders until the Grand Final. Despite Q man’s clever trading, I like the Captain at this stage of the season as he has been scoring lot of points lately.

The knock out finals sees a struggling MILLERS coming up against the 2007 Hogg Premier League champion in Poon Army who have been in good form with only a recent loss to the Captain holding him back into the mid table ranks. I reckon Troy can get the job done and advance to play against Don’t Drop Catches next week. My Cat Empire has made the finals in Hogg Premier now for the 6th straight year but of course I have yet to win the darn thing. Underdogs returned to their normal point scoring ways and will be sweating on Buddy to return to their line-up. I reckon I’m going to get done here as I can’t cover the loss of Porps and Chappy in the forward line and that Underdogs will play Q next week. I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again, ACK!!

Chappy out throws my plans into disarray. He doesn't have enough value to sideways into a Pavlich or Beams FFS. Going to hope that Devon Smith goes big.

I am now reduced to hoping that Nate Wilson and his 45 points are a late call up. Paying the price now for some bug ugly moves earlier in the year.

1st Qualifying Final

Don't Drop Catches has pulled off his greatest career victory this week with a 198 triumph over the mighty Darksiders. The Catchers had all the Kings covered - Naitanui, Watson, Cotchin, Dangerfield while the Darksiders were hampered by Riewoldt's red vest and some Docker spudups. CoverKing now has the luxury of a week off and he'll now play the winners of the Q vs. REB Semi in two weeks. It's been a very good year for CoverKing and it could be about to be much better. God help us!

2nd Qualifying Final

Q Man has famously kept the powder dry for this stage of the season but lost this game as he had Roughead (late out) and Riewoldt (red vest) while the Captain had Dangerfield and Jordan Lewis up forward. This is where this match turned and Q Man would be a morose coach at the moment suddenly having to fight off a resurgent Empire next week to stay in the hunt. A great effort here by the Captain and he is in red hot form on a run of 7 straight wins. He needs two more but will sipping rum on the poop deck with the Jolly Rodger flying high next week.

1st Elimination Final

Poon Army's best season for a couple of years ended without a yelp this week as MILLER MOSQUITOES rebounded from some ordinary late season scoring to win when it matters. The Dane Beams factor proved to be decisive in a match when many of Poons stars were well down. Cox's big 190 was not a factor for Troy as MILLER had him as well and the risk of not trading Buddy proved to be a fatal one for the Army who left lying on the battlefield. MILLER faces off against the Darkside next week in the AFL Online Grand Final in a year when safooty.net coaches are starting to gain the initiative.

2nd Elimination Final

The Cat Empire has pulled off it's greatest ever finals win with a miraculous come from behind three point win. There was nothing the coach could do late in the last quarter as Boomer Harvey went head to head with Bomber champion (and this year's Brownlow winner I reckon) Jobe Watson. Thanks to some awesome Sunday scoring from Birchall, Cotchin, Mitchell, Martin and Harvey I got out of gaol after being over 400 points down with just three to play. Somehow Underdogs' Nick Riewoldt got ten points for sitting on his arse and those ten points nearly proved decisive in a match where the Empire had to cop a donut for Chappy. So it's all over for Gibbo this year and the Empire will now face Q Man who I was more than a little unlucky to lose to last time. Empire has now won eight straight matches and hasn't lost a knockout final in the Premier League now since 2007. Unfortunately this excludes Grand Finals.

Yeah sorry about that. That was pretty unlucky, almost like getting a donut. So if you can get 2500 with that going on I wouldn't be too worried about my mob. Besides, I've got to get past Q and he beat me last time.
