Pretty shitty line up so far. Blink and Offspring will only be good if they stick to their older stuff.

Id fork out the $190 if Metallica werent there bu not sure I will with all those bogans there. Its going to have a different vibe with bogans, mums and kids there in numbers.
My ex and kids are going to see Linkin Pk and Blink.
I might save my pennies towards my half yearly overseas trip now.

There's Bogans there every year. Hell, if we weren't bogans at one stage of our life, none of us would be going.
So you've seen everything have you?

How can you tell a bogan nowadays anyway? Not all of them are in flanelette with black jeans and mullets. I would not miss out on something because of who I think might be there...

Metallica bogans are a different race to normal Soundwave bogans. I might go spend the day at Elizabeth as it will be crime free for the day!

PS The bogans dont really put me off as much as the mums and kids!

Im gonna save my money. Only a couple of bands Id wanna see now. Linkin Park are terrible now. First 2 albums were good. Offsprings not what they used to be. Metalica are terrible. Paramore are terrible. I saw Blink in 2004 and they were awesome, but if they play their new album at Soundwave, it would be a massive disappointment. Id rather remember them how they were. Definately not worth the $190 price tag.

Id rather spend $50 and go see bands at Thebby, who usually tour with other decent bands.

Except that the last time they released anything good was in 1988.

Not so,IMO. Death Magnetic is up there for mine as far as their best albums go. All personal taste, no doubt. To call Metallica terrible, however, is simply untrue.

One of the best live shows I have seen.

SOUNDWAVE 2012

Postby RustyCage » Wed Aug 08, 2012 2:45 pm

Death Magnetic is one of their best. st Anger had some good songs hidden by crappy production. Load and Reload would have been better if they were Hetfield solos albums or something, have some really good songs on them but not what you'd like from a ban of Metallicas capabilities. The black album isn't too bad, just the songs on the album I don't like are the ones they always play live!

I'd love to hear a Nothing Else Matters free setlist. Always the low point of the set

I'm not paying $190 or whatever just for Tomahawk!

Sideshow in Adelaide or no dice.
