Ebay question

Postby TroyGFC » Tue Apr 24, 2007 1:55 pm

My mate won the bid on Sunday been for $199.50, but we have been trying to contact seller to ask for postage and handling cost and how to pay for it (account details). Today we received an email from Ebay saying we had second chance bid? I thought we had won it as on ebay page we have. The bidding started at $40.
What do you do? :?

Found problem to be spam. Ebay never send things to personal email accounts only ebay inbox. Also they ban Western Union money transfers so all be warned. Ended up getting in contact will person buying item from and talking to them over phone and did COD for item.

I've always been untrusting and therefore cautious with things like Ebay. I've been watching it though, and the few things I've seen and wanted I've found I've eventually got cheaper elsewhere than they went for on Ebay..

It may be a bit of a trap like pokies are. Of course it may just be the sort of things I want too.

I love EBay, bought dozens of things I couldn't have bought anywhere else, my kids have things that other kids parents have no idea how to get and the prices are incredibly good compared to anywhere else.
Only stuff I wouldn't buy on Ebay would be stuff above $200 that would only cost me $20 or $30 more to get from walking into a store because of peace of mind but I have not had one bad experience on Ebay, many experience have exceeded my expectations but not one bad one.
Love Ebay especially for American, UK and Asian stuff, the price you have to pay for some things online form America is ridiculous (UK not so bad).
