Maybe they lost a fair few games, maybe it was a quagmire most weeks. I'd hardly call it a dig.

I'm with you. Not many imports have hung around for whatever reason, so he wouldn't be alone.

Hahahah fair bloody insult.

Mine wasn't meant to be an insult, just an observation. Bridgey have often had a core of locals that keep playing, imports don't do big stints there.

Been a few weeks, but for what it's worth:
Onkas to take care of Bridgey pretty easily, 10 goals.
Hahndorf vs Blackwood - should be a cracker. Hahndorf too strong for a resurgent 'Woods, 28 points.
Uraidla to take care of business, even though they're travelling to I/B. 4 goals.
Mt Barker vs Lobey. With last night's rain I believe the groundsman at Barker has his mower on ebay already. The sludge will bring Lobey into the game but Barker to continue on their merry way, 11 goals.
TV vs Lofty - give the Devs a tiny chance but (from results at least) TV really seem to be not too bad & have a slight chance to make finals. At home, TV by 7 goals.

Yes JQ, you're right about Mt Barker oval. We've seen mud wresting at Bridgewater and tomorrow we shall see water polo at Mt Barker. Bring your bathers Lobey.

Match of the day and maybe match of the year so far has to be this coming weekend's Onkas vs TV. It's 5th vs 6th seperated by just one game but look what's at stake.

If Onkas win next Saturday, they'll go two games clear of TV and probably stitch up an Elimination Final appearance. Big incentive for the Doggies.

But....if TV wins, it will be percentage only that seperates them and the Dogs but in the following week Onkas play Bankers (tough one for Onkas) whereas TV plays Bridgy (and TV should win). So....big incentive for TV this Saturday.

I reckon positions 1-4 are done and dusted and the intrigue will be who gets that 5th spot in the finals.

Predictions anybody ? I'm going for the Lions to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Gervais, I was thinking the same about going out and watching Onkas v TV instead of making the trip down to Blackwood.

How is Matty Thomas going at Blackwood this year? I believe he is an Assistant Coach.

Heathfield High School open boys football went down to Glossop HS by 10 points in a cracking game at Woodville Oval yesterday 14 - 9 to 13 -5.
Good representation from many of the Hills clubs amongst the playing group and great to have parents (and grandparents) of players from Ironbank, Hahndorf, Mt Lofty and Bridgewater make the journey down to support us.
We want Vaughn.

How do you highlight somebody else's post so that you can refer to it in your own post?

Anyway, to answer Jumbo20's question about coaches for 2013, Steve Samuels is a done deal at Mt Barker. I see him being a long-term coach at the Roos.

no doubting that mt barker will lock samuels in. if he leaves then he takes his players with him.

Jacko is going to be a good player, but didn't set the world on fire in this game. Found the game a bit fast and often had much bigger opponents on him. Best players were Will Fearnhead (Bridgy), Josh Hone (Lofty), Henry Bittner (Hahndorf), Adam Houlahan (Bridgy) and Henry Pope (Ironbank).
