Great win by the Hahndorf magpies on trhe weekend, altough not against the hardest of oponents but great to get the first win out the way, Hahndorf 17s from what ive seen seem to be the trend setters early, but they also havent played ot many good teamsyet and would almost pencil in a win against birdwood this weekend. Lofty 17s had a win last week with Brett Skills pistola staring in the wet... bad game in the wet at lofty for the As, very low scoring, i would expect those two teams to play off in the GF...

Good to see Brad Dubois staring in second rank football aswell.

Dale is Maslin captain of the Cs??? Smiles told me he was, if its wet he will lead from the front with that red hair just like rudolph did with his red nose.

When I was asked if I wanted to play C's, I said: "if you need it", then was told that Lofty has plenty of players! Nice token offer though!
Hopefully the C's don't churn up an oval on its weekend off. Should be played in great spirits too.

K Bartlett will DOMINATE Div 7. Could easily still be playing A grade footy at the Devs even at 40+.

I'd say the Dev's will towel up Onkas in the C's after seeing the B grade last weekend. Will be interesting to see Dev's v Uri's this week. Id say it will be a bunch of 18yo's v a bunch of 30+yo's. Nothing wrong with that. It should toughen up a few of the young Devils 'up and comers'.

Dunno about a Devils v Cabbage game being played in good spirits though JQ? I've never played against the cabbage without being belted in the head

Lobey Oval

Postby Joe » Wed May 02, 2007 12:28 pm

Army Tank, I heard Lobethal oval is dry and they were bouncing balls at training. They had drainage installed some years back and this has fixed previous issues of 10 years ago. I remember a very wet Barkaroos game there. I assume that most ovals in the HFL have drainage installed given the Hills weather.

Maslin played B's on Saturday and would of carved if ball hadn't bounced off of his chest so much! Doubt coach would let him play C's.

on div 2 footy, where has brad dubois gone? he got in the best first week but has struggled after that pretty close source told me. good luck brad you deserve to carve up for all your courageous comments

You may have Silky Skills but what about any reading skills??? If you have read the courier, as I just have it says dubois got in the best again. So you might have to check your sources! We havent come up against Meadows yet this year what does he play like???

Interesting...I haven't heard anything during the season, although pre-season I heard that there was a mate of Triggers (I think) that was semi keen to head up the hill. Could be him?
Hopefully he's a goal kicker, or hopefully the devs get some of those forwards back, cos they'll need them against Uris!

I agree!! But thats all Silky "Matt Jaensch" Skills does, he seems to jaw off at other people over this forum all the time. Seems to have a go at someone each time he posts something.
