(Except Ken Cunningham favouring Westies over Port when they played each other.)

Umpire support is part of their history and their supporters whine now when it doesn't happen.. ;)

Better resourced? Which club is attached to an AFL club again????

Exactly. Pretty sure the Magpies training and rehab facilities may be a little better than Norwood's.

Doesn't our winning streak against that mob also extend to the Trevor Hill days? :D

Spot on.
The other clubs had to put up with Laurie Argent for nearly 20 years.
Only fair we get a bit back now

A very colourful character I know once quized me ..... who has scored the most goals for Port Adelaide ?
After several attempts none correct, the answer is : Lawrie Sweeney !

For those too young to remember Lawrie Sweeney was an umpire in the 50's credited with about 3 Mapie premierships. Apparently he was always invited to the post game celebrations.

Port tried hard all night but were simply out classed. Hope the Magpies make the finals but can not see them threatening for the flag.
Umpiring was as usual rubbish. Don't know where they find these fools ?
The younger brigade of Norwood improves weekly. Found another future star in Chippendale.
Bass will most likely be with an AFL side next year ( Carlton is my tip ) but what scares me most is we will again be raped of our junior talent. Fact of life now unfortunately.

Yet the Bulldogs have won eight flags since 2000. I'm a long way away from the modern SANFL but have other SANFL clubs been watching how the Bulldogs go about their business? We seem to be OK with our recruiting in recent seasons and at least in the last few years we have returned to consistent finals action rather than seventh again like we were a few years back.

Indeed SDK the young will be plucked as per usual but I think the Crows and the Power are now realising that these kids are as good as any and they stay at home, I agree Port slipped out of the game for 15 minutes of the final qtr and then resumed some fantastic pressure footbal, the sort of stuff I was used to for so long, so I put good faith that the old foe is on the mend.

I think what scares the rest of the comp is that Bass will go but be replaced with an equally if not better adept coach to add to what has already been put into place over the last 3 years. By the way my mail is that Fremantle may have his services in 2013.

Cheers,

Just unfortunate for him his form in the League warranted him to spend some time in the ressies.
Thats what its all about, finding form when your out of touch & he's found some last night, providing his attitudes right i'd say he'll be back in the League next week, if its not he'll be still kicking dew off the grass in the two's.
