A couple of suggestions:

Magic City
Drama about the running of a classy hotel in late 50s Miami.
Fans of Boardwalk Empire might like this.

The Borgias
Historical drama about the Borgia family's power struggles in Rome/Italy.
Not for everyone, Game of Thrones type fare, but factually based and less complicated.

This is just starting on Foxtel July 4th on W

I have seen the first 2 series and it's very good

Exceptional performance by Kathleen Roberson as Kitty O'Neil - worth watching just to watch her and what she gets up to ;)

Wouldn't call it a must see but finished Game Of Thrones Season 2 on the weekend.

Might be an opportune time to jump off of this series as while I thought Season 1 was decent Season 2 wasn't much chop.

Episodes was alright.

A manipulative Matt LeBlanc - haunted by the ghost of 'Joey' - was pretty funny.

But disappointed with Up All Night.

Great cast wasted...

Is walk on the wild side the abc show where they dub audio over animals? Watched it today and thought it was pretty good.

Falling skies is one I've just started watching, post apocalyptic show similar to walking dead with aliens instead of zombies. Does a pretty good job, giving just enough info per episode to make you want to know more. Up to ep 6 if s1.

Grand Designs Revisited

Two great docos on the ABC this afternoon...

The Mona Lisa Curse

Cranky Robert Hughes takes a swipe at the commercialisation of art.

"He was one of the stupidest people I've ever met. He had nothing to say."
- Hughes on Andy Warhol.

I Knew It Was You: Rediscovering John Cazale

Look at the amazing actor who died at 42 from lung cancer.

Only appeared in five films.

And all were nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards...
