I noticed similar to Noarlunga 18 of the 25 goals were scored at the same end, was it the Northern or Southern end?
At Noarlunga 20 of the 26 goals were scored to the southern end despite no breeze.

He went off the ground after maybe 10 mins of the first quarter. He came back on and played for much of the 2nd quarter, but I don't think he was on the field at all in the 2nd half. Probs injured.

It was a slight breeze to the Northern end and died down in the second half. Don't know why most of the scoring was done to that end?

Thought it was a great effort by Powell in the 3rd quarter to inspire his team. Has done plenty of times for other captains but was good to see him lift his own team when it was looking like the wooden spoon was headed our way after an insipid 2nd quarter.

It was typical of a bottom of the table clash with both teams sometimes trying their best to gift goals to the opposition on plenty of occasions. Certainly a much better feeling to get the win and also good to see the reserves beat the 2nd team after beating the top team last week.

Caught the final quarter on radio.
Looks like we have to do something serious to get off the bottom now. Pots broken the shackles and we just lost to the only other likely candidate.
Maybe South can save us?

Extremely weird that there was no breeze at Noarlunga. Don't think I've been at a match there without a strong breeze and shite conditions.

Very disappointed that Sheeds couldn't celebrate his 250th with a win but apart from the second 1/4 our skills and pressure around the ball aren't good enough. We let the opposition run out of our F50 far too easily.
Well done to the WWT players for clapping off Jade Sheedy after the game, good sportsmanship and earnt my respect for showing theirs. :ymapplause:

Well done Sheedy, a great contributor over many years. Eagles good for three quarters but nearly blew it with an abysmal second quarter. Parry and Rowntree 4 quarter contributors, liked the games of Powell, Grocke, Staple, Lewis.
Still alive but would need to win probably 4 out of last 5 to get to finals, if not 5. 'Four' point game against North after bye.

I can't see Torrens making it either...

It will obviously be Glenelg v Port / North / South in the Elimination Final... whoever wins that has a real chance against West Adelaide, who I'd expect to get done in the QF... anyway, we all know its Norwood v Central in the grannie this season.
