Right on the bloodworm run there beerolock, you may get lucky.

Bloodworm run really only effects estuaries and surrounding areas.
For the record we bagged 36 in just under 90 mins on Friday arvo and another 36 on saturday.
Wicked fishing.
Pity all the poor buggers that were within rock throwing distance watching 3 blokes in a 15 ft tinnie under attack from King George Whiting that were getting nothing but intermediate fish.
Thems the breaks.
We did have one crew drop their pick next too us on both days but we were vertually done by then.
Bit rude.

The Swamp Donkey fishes there a bit mate. I heard over the weekend of some local lads getting a few whiting.

Was over at Smoky Bay last week and went out on Friday afternoon after mucking around with the oysters in the morning.
Ended up with our full quota of whiting and squid, without them going gangbusters. Would have taken about 12-15 drifts and about 4-5 drops for the whiting, getting about 20 odd in the last hole, so with some perserverence we got there. :D
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Whiting have been seriously hit and miss this year, more so the later for some reason. I got them once on the 'Rock' in the evening and also once on the southern weedline in Bakers toward the deeper end. They have been very ordinary this year compared to the last few.

That being said the squid are bloody everywhere out from Parham at the moment and have been for 6-8 weeks. Personally i drift over the Rock on a receeding tide in the morning. Its been very easy pickings, bagging out both times I've been out.

If you live in the area you'll know where the Rock is :D

I'm happy to hear you had to work a bit harder than usual, if I can call it work, mate. Sounds like another great trip.

Tend to agree with you havent had a real lot of luck with the whiting this year biggest problem sometimes as soon as you berley up the trumpeters beat the whiting to the bait not sure if everyone else has the same problem this year has been a shocking year for blue crabs at parham also dont know whats going on there although been hearing plenty were being caught at st kilda & thompsons only a few weeks ago go figure that out. I dont live at parham my parents own a shack there so i fish out there pretty regulary went out sunday & pulled in a few small tommies & half a dozen squid in saying that I wasnt fishing real seriously had a severe day cold from drinking at the mallala pub saturday night :)
