I'd say a 9-8 with a healthy percentage will make the finals, chipping away to get to that 9th win is going to be a fair task within itself. You'd be hard pushed to find a tighter comp.

It looks like none of these blokes are keen on going up to Division IV next season as no one seems to want to win this league. With five wins covering the field it's anyone's guess how this very even comp is going to turn out. Leading the field is a bit like the dreaded term 'premiership favourite' which has seemed to be a poisoned chalice in the AFL this season.

Nek Minnit was suitably poisoned this week as he was cleaned up by Heater's Hotshots who took the opportunity to climb back into the top eight. The hammers moved into second but whufc has not fared well during the bye period and they got lucky with a 26 point win over the struggling Mossy's superstars. THE CHAMPS have been climbing off the ropes in recent weeks but now they are up to third so surely they are due a loss. The Cowboys have fallen off thier horse but you try making a joke out of a team with a bland name like EIMC. However, his scoring wasn't so bland and stickers is looking good in 6th spot.

Perhaps one of the most significant results of this weekend concerns the relegation battle. Sturt B has been on the nose for several weeks and the BloodnTars have been looking to fight back but the Strutties notched up a priceless 6 point win that could send the BloodnTars down to the Bunny Bowl next season.

Squiddy's a happy man after cleaning up hammers in the top of the table clash in the Division V match of the round. Many of the other top sides took a tumble this week as THE CHAMPS and crockocrack also got done. BloodnTars pulled off the upset over the highly rated crockocrack by a mere six points in a sensational result that gets them out of the relegation zone.

The inconsistent pafc1870 has climbed back into the eight at the expense of EIMC in another upset with Lightning failing to strike twice...yeah I know. Heater's Hotshots are back on the woolballs with the shaggers now slipping into the relegation zone. Motorboats got a much needed win against the struggling Mossys Superstars and the wonder elephants are back in town as they displaced mickey's Glory Shed.

There's not much room for error in this league and I'd hate be out of trades in here.

Unpredicatable results continue to be the norm in the closest league in the Hogg Shield. Nek Minnit has been doing their best to hand over top spot in Division V but no one wants to take it from them. The Cowboys looked the most likely to wrangle top spot from Squiddy but they were roped in by the inconsistent pafc1870 although they are doing much better than their namesake.

whufc's poor recent form continued and they have slipped out of the top four now following good wins by THE CHAMPS and crockocrack who are now starting to look like genuine contenders which means they'll probably both lose next week.

There was plenty of action in the relegation zone as well with Bunnyhop racking up a nice score to drag BloodnTars right back into the bottom four. Sturt B refuse to die and their win over the Glory Shed was an important one. wooolballs fought back strongly against the hammers to also climb out of the bottom four and it was a mighty effort from Motorboats as the bottom team beat the top side...all in a day's work in Division V.

In the 'unwanted league' there are still no teams to have recorded ten wins for the season as Squiddy's troubles continued and his latest loss sees Nek Minnit drop to third place on the ladder. THE CHAMPS and crockocrack have now taken the box seat and will be looking to a possible Grand Final berth if these two teams can find some consistency. There are genuine promotion opportunities here with pafc1870, EIMC and JJs Jrunks all seemingly unlikely candidates to go up a few weeks ago. Squiddy isn't the only coach to be trying to recapture that winning feeling either as the Cowboys and the hammers have also lost their way after a promising start.

In the relegation battle Bunnyhop and BloodnTars scored very strongly to drop Sturt B and Noel's Caravans into the danger zone. Woollballs didn't score quite as well but also got the job done against the puttering Motorboats in what was also an important win. With three weeks to go there is no sure thing in this league for promotion, relegation, premiership chances, or finals calculations. Bookies stay away from the unwanted league!

THE CHAMPS and crockocrack have finally put their hands up to lead this league with authoratitive performances in the 15th round of matches in Hogg Division V. THE CHAMPS smashed 17th ranked Motorboats and JJs Jrunks are more than a little stiff to be dumped out of the top eight after scoring 2352 in their loss to the crackers.

pafc1870 made a good weekend for Ports all round by storming to third place on the ladder with some improved consistency of late..he's in the top four but can he stay there?? EIMC and the Cowboys also had important win but Squiddy's struggle goes on as the tentacles plummet to the depths of the ocean with his scoring patterns in recent weeks.

The relegation battle is as tight as ever and it was perhaps inevitable that there would be a draw at some stage in this even comp with Bunnyhop and The Glory Shed sharing the points. BloodnTars did not show that same spirit of sharing as they belted Noels Caravans who are going like a busted arse. woolballs now drops to a dangerous 14th joining the bottom four teams in not being able to win this week.

With two weeks to go though even Mossy can avoid relegation but he'd need to get cracking or be left in the Telephone Booth by the highway......

3 doughnuts and a 4 from Tippett did not help me one bit.

Might need to use my remaining trades to stay in the top 8.

EIMC despite moving up to 4th is merely making up the numbers now, ravished with injuries and under performing players they've been lucky that they've been playing in wet, muddy conditions.
Not scoring very well but keep managing to win, a matter of time before the bubble bursts.

Got up by 2 pts over Glory Shed.

He would be spewing not putting the Emerg on Adams (93) or Christensen (100) seeing as Sidebottom didn't play.

Kept my finals hopes alive. Not bad considering I was bottom at the half way point and have been battling relegation most of the year.

Bring on JJ Jrunks.
