Their umpire was very good - not sure how often he has done it - he just umpired the game to the best of his abilities and wasn't afraid to admit when he made a mistake

As for our lads and Masha I want to say thank you for letting an old man play his last game with a win and for those interested at one stage the combined age of the Brahma Lodge forward line was 241 years

I think someone mentioned the Pultney umpire earlier this year, and did say how good he was. I agree, very good umpire, was consistent all day.

I will second this, got to speak with him during the breaks and seemed like a nice guy who admitted he had made some mistakes but was trying the best he could. Have seen alot worse from alot more experienced umpires. Well done to him for sticking his hand up and giving it a go.

Just post in the thread that the game relates to mate, no harm done, we don't need a thread for every game played each week, all good.

Well done to Salisbury West yesterday, a lot harder, tougher and committed over the 4 qtrs. Definitely not the same side we saw the first time. Fair and clean game, good luck to them for the rest of the year.

Salisbury West have pulled the pin for the rest of the year - a little strange after posting a good win against Brahma Lodge last weekend

Grahaml wrote:Amazing how people buy into rumours so quickly. I bet half the people talking about Salisbury West and our reputation have never actually had any real problem. Of course the rumours of the C grade getting pulled are false. At least nobody involved with the club seems to know anything about it, so perhaps Dee Man knows more about us than we do. No doubt like every club there are things to improve on and we're busting our backsides to do so. In the meantime all we want is to be treated on the basis of action and not reputation. A reputation earned in many ways, both fair and unfair, but largely by people no longer seen at the club.
