Havens losses coming as no surprise to a couple of the older fellas at the club from what I've heard. Minimal numbers on the track, even for the in form B grade. The younger lads apparently doing the right thing, but the older guys too lazy. I wonder if they'll all show their faces if they make finals. I don't see them doing too much if they make the finals if this attitude continues.
Your kidding right? In my opinion both the A and B grade played a very similar style of football with skill and execution being the main difference. I can see the B grade going very well in finals as they are possibly the best team i have played against this year.
The B grade has a lot of talent in it, and would be favourites for the flag? And I'm sure that Haven are still playing decent footy, they have a lot of talented and experienced players running around for them. But I think you would want most of your team training as often as possible, for obvious reasons, because fitness/skills/etc will fall away. IMO if the other top 5 teams are consistently getting good numbers to training, and NH aren't I know who I'll pick come finals.bubba love wrote:its probably the other way round to be honest lutz, minimal younger players coming to training
Ah yes, the younger players are all too busy watching the Tour de France hey

We lost to them by 2 or 3 goals the first time, and in my opinion, our B grade side has improved immensely since then. Its gonna be a good game when we face them on our turf.

Aaand i just asked a mate and its seems there may be an ultimatum. Either their C grade fold or the A and B grade are penalised somehow!! Interesting

23 points it was mate and yes I agree we have improved since then and AL will be a great test for us at home but we shouldn't even been thinking about them at the moment and what could be, all the focus should be on our opponents of this coming Saturday in Kenilworth and beating them on the wide open spaces of St Marys Park, which I reckon we'll all look forward to and getting our second win in as many matches (both A and B grade for that matter) against them.
It's another 'must win game' to stay in finals contention for the A grade, which they've had a few of this year and previously they have came out on top in those games and there's no reason why they can't this Saturday aswell. I think it will be a tough game, with Kenilworth being at 6 and 6 like us and being on their home deck. Lose and it'll just get more difficult for the A grade to see finals footy, hope the boys are up and ready for the challenge.
