Big game next week against greenacres.

Good win by Elizabeth too..

Pathetic that any individual would umpire like that. Footy is meant to be tough and hard, it's meant to be decided by the players on the field. It's these things that make winning footy games and premierships so meaningful. Para Hills B grade played with 15 yesterday and duly got pumped. It was a win that was unrewarding, as much as the Para Hills lads busted their backsides and had some good passages of play.

If it's pathetic by any individual to umpire knowing they can't (or won't) be neutral then it's just plain weak by the club to put that guy out there every week. Everyone keeps saying UM are a magnificent B grade, but if they don't take home the premiership this year many will wonder how much having a biased umpire during the minor round helped them. It's something that is unfair on the players to have that sort of thought lingering.

haha, you Plympton guys (and Choccies) really don't like our umpire! even when opposition clubs post to say he was fine you bag him

Lucky the 2's games are decided by 100 points so it doesnt matter.

I would have thought last years finals suggested the umpiring didn't make a difference.

After being apart of the para hills b grade side yesterday I can say that at least each and every player that put the Guernsey on gave it their all. I felt that your players probably tried to be too fancy and cute with some of your passages of play. I thought you could've put us to the sword very early and the fact we out scored you in the second quarter says a lot. It could've been a very different story with a full side on the park. In saying that I thought we played better yesterday with 15 bloke than we normally do with 21.

I do believe your reggies will win it again. As has been stated, a cheating umpire doesnt reward Unleys B Grade 20 goals every game. They are simply to good. I thought he was okay last weekend. On other occassions though, he has been simply outrageous.

So why keep him as umpire? Let the players be the only influence on the game. Win by 18 goals and have the opposition say how good a team you are instead of winning by 20 and saying what a terrible umpire you have. Hard to enjoy the game when you don't get fair treatment by an umpire. I guess we'll see whether Unley-Mercedes are a strong enough club to end such nonsense or whether upsetting one person is too hard.

Agree 100%. It was admirable for you guys to rock up and it was most appreciated. We've got a decent B grade and against 15 we should have won by more. Losing a quarter was actually embarassing, but massive kudos to you guys. Some of those lads were outmarking and outworking several opponents regularly. No doubt a different story with a full side. Personally, i wouldn't have sung the song after a win like that. Not because of any disrespect but simply because against 15 you shouldn't lose. I'd also have taken 3 blokes off at 1/2 time and played 15 v 15, but i guess that's why other blokes are in charge. Lol.

There was a bit of banter in the rooms before hand about playing a 15 vs 15 game on the small oval which got plenty of laughs. It was certainly amusing walking down to the forward line and seeing the bemused look on the defenders faces, and funnily enough i actually had fun playing and found it rather enjoyable. As for singing the song after the game, a wins a win and you should celebrate it in the usual manner regardless of the situation and we certainly didnt expect you guys to bring a few extra off the ground to even it up. Must also thank Yarba and the crew out the front of the cricket nets, some colourful and amusing remarks coming from the area kept the boys entertained

Not as pathetic as coming on here and calling someone a cheat. If you have a problem with umpiring, you do something constructive about getting it improved.

One has to wonder though laser if multiple clubs are coming on here and saying the same thing . Not having a crack mate, just giving my 2c.

A couple of people in particular have an issue and keep banging on about it (even when they don't play us) and as a result he is scrutinised by the people who view those comments. No one likes opposition umpires and everyone thinks they are hard done by.

Ya know you see a lot of people complaining about this particular umpire.. How many clubs have gone through the correct process of reporting that umpire to the SAAFL? Only way action will be taken if formal complaints are made and upheld. Just bagging and chatter online and on the field gets nothing resolved.

Yeah unley b.grade ump is.terrible, loves to give free kicks against the coaches box . Saying that luckily most games the ball barely goes in to unley defensive half. Unfortunately when people speak about unley b grade that the first thing that comes to peoples mind not how good of a team they are . I love how the unley people praise him how good he is

I remember I umpired a game against Unley about 4-5 years ago and this young fella was umpiring, and before the toss I said to him 'thank god you got rid of that old fella, he was a dirty cheat!' and the ump then said to me that it was his dad!

Fair to say it was a frosty relationship through the couse of the match between the two of us!

Unfortunately he is either one of the great piccholo's or a very bad judge of contests that are randomly and coincidentally always going against the club that he isn't involved with...

He is used as the measuring stick for how bad an umpire is whenever we talk about the b grade umps - is he as bad as the unley guy??

Spiteful few minutes in the GG versus Heccies game on Saturday.
"Luckily" for us we settled better afterwards and ran away with the game. Heccies will have alot to do over the next 6 weeks me thinks....

We will get a few first choice players back over the next few weeks which will strengthen us in all grades. We really struggled for numbers over the grades this weekend....

Him and his (now don't quote me on the exact identity cause I'm not 100%) brother (water boy) connected with a few punches. Both should be (especially the waterboy) given lengthy suspensions, but doubt it will happen.
For him to run on the field and start throwing hay-makers makes a mockery/laughing stock of the likes of 'BurraBoys' ever complaining about Jake Mazzone.

Anyway, as Choccies said GG won easily and so they should have. Easily the weakest A grade side I've seen put on the park in my 10yrs with the club. Would have been only 5-6 first choice A graders playing. And to add to that had 4 injured players sitting on the bench in the last qtr. Massive 6 weeks ahead. Fingers crossed can get some players back.
