I'm feeling pretty confident about it....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Good work with SAAFL, umpires no show on Wednesday night for Pultney report...
Make clubs send up people to give an idea of what happened & the umpire cant be arsed to show...
But if a reported player did a no show it'd be held against him ??
SAAFL need to get their 5hit together & sort out these very ordinary umpires out? Who's the umpire coach??

Were the report (s) made by these umpires or did it come from an observer?

If the umpires made a report and did a "no show" then that is disgusting.... flies in the face of the SAAFL cracking down on clubs and players and makes a mockery of the effort being put in by all parties to clean things up.....
they should be fined and have to pay the same as a club ($30 I think) to the player and player rep for their time ...what a bunch of tossers ...an embarassment to themselves .....perhaps they were old scholars
So are the reported players free to play this week ??????
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

Sounds like its happening far to often with the no-show.
I believe a player should walk free & charge dismissed if the umps or witnesses fail to show.
A shake up is needed down there, its becoming very embarrassing of the AMATEUR League.

Going on what I've seen, Unley will win another reserves premiership. They are 'easily' the best reserves side I have ever seen and without blowing up to many tires, this is a well deserved credit to their junior system and club in general.

Saw my 1st ever 'reverse Falcon' today! Scotchs Cahill nailed one into the back of his teammates head when he was running forward. Rattled the fella so much that he threw a punch at his opponant lol. Proberly the highlight of that game for me, certainly wasn't the scoreline :p

Just wanna say unley were far too good in the 2's yesterday, and in patches we matched, but after half time unley ran away with it easily.... Now before I say what I'm Goin to say the umpiring wouldn't have changed the result, however if it was close I would say it would.... Unleys umpire is dead set disgrace!!!! He was when I played and he still is... He's umpired 650 games to many!!!! It infuriates me that when you play unley you don't just worry bout how you're going to beat a good side, you also have to worry what the umpires going to do!!!! I personally believe he is blight on a very good football club... However if I was an unley player I'd love him....
Just a quick example of his brilliance, pfc pllayer taken high, I actually see mossy turn his head away from said incident and calls play on... That's just one incident!!!!!!!!! Thank god, for all clubs who play unley in finals we'll get neutral umpires!!!!
Anyways, well played UFC, played very well and are drilled well... Very clean with the footy...

Big game next week against greenacres.

Good win by Elizabeth too..

Pathetic that any individual would umpire like that. Footy is meant to be tough and hard, it's meant to be decided by the players on the field. It's these things that make winning footy games and premierships so meaningful. Para Hills B grade played with 15 yesterday and duly got pumped. It was a win that was unrewarding, as much as the Para Hills lads busted their backsides and had some good passages of play.

If it's pathetic by any individual to umpire knowing they can't (or won't) be neutral then it's just plain weak by the club to put that guy out there every week. Everyone keeps saying UM are a magnificent B grade, but if they don't take home the premiership this year many will wonder how much having a biased umpire during the minor round helped them. It's something that is unfair on the players to have that sort of thought lingering.
