Watched Drive and Contraband last night.

Drive - A bit slow in parts, but pretty well put together with plenty of action, and a pretty good plot (for an action film anyway) .. 7.5/10

Contraband - Again plenty of action, and Giovanni Ribisi lifts every movie by a few stars .. 6.5/10

The Artist

Five stars.

Even better the second time around.

Best fillum I've seen since Brokeback Mountain, which is (so far) the only masterpiece this millenium...

The Killer Inside Me

Great thriller set in the 50's staring Casey Afflick. I watched it with my missus's Mum the other night. Made for an interesting conversation when Afflick was boning Jessica Alba while choking her with a belt

Franklin Hatchett: Hell no I ain't at no goddamn girl's house. I'm wanted for muder. I ain't got time to get no p##sy.
Paula: What?
Franklin Hatchett: I ain't f***ing nobody but you.

When he beats her head in? Its crazy. Usually you'd expect them to pan away or something but nope. I think they pushed the boundaries with a lot of things with this movie. The nude photos he finds are more than id expect in a movie as well.

Yeah totally agree .. When he smacks her up (I was trying to avoid spoilers, but oh well just this once) I must admit it was a rare scene that I found pretty uncomfortable to watch.

Must pay to be a sick **** I guess though if you can root Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson within 2 hours

The Guard

Some of the funniest one-liners I've heard in donkey's.

Though the bit that cracked me up most was when Boyle was talking to Everett on the phone about killing one of the baddies and there was a smiling Daniel O'Donnell poster in the background...
