Yeah forgot they lost a spot to the Germans.
I think Napoli might end up getting a good deal, at the moment Napoli enters the Europa League at 3rd qual round and Lazio enter at 4th qual round. I belive the Coppa Italia winner goes directly to Group Stage so with Napoli playing Juve in the final they should take the automatic entry and Inter would come into their spot at 3rd round qual.
I think this is still the case, may be wrong

Coppa Italia final this monday morning at 4am, whole bunch of Juve & napoli supporters getting together to watch this at a mates house.
Pulling an all nighter, a few games of cards and then onto the game.
Should be a cracking morning with plenty of banter going.

well juve didnt end the season exactly how they wanted, going down 2-0 to Napoli in the Coppa Italia final. still an unbeaten league campaign and the scudetto is a great achievement. Napoli were always going to be dangerous in a one off game as their attack is so strong. It is just reward for all the hard work and money De Laurentis has put into the club since taking over when they were in the Serie C1 and broke.

This year has seen the end of a golden era of Italian footballers, with great players leaving the game, Del Piero, Inzaghi, Nesta, Gattuso, Zambrotta etc, dont think you will find many players in years to come that will be able to match the achievements of these legends.

Still dirty that Juve havent given ADP another year to take a champions league bow, as he has shown he still has tons of ability and can be very dangerous coming off the bench, but i dont think you could ask for a better send off then this season.

Great way to finish the season for Napoli, 1st silverware for 22 years.
Shut the Juve fans up for a few hours :D

Looks like Lavezzi will be leaving as he has a 31million buy-out clause and if met he will go, PSG & Man C will be the frontrunners
Napoli need 2 quality defenders, left sided midfielder and hopefully we can challenge for the scudetto next season.

Nice earning for Napoli, buy some quality Defenders would help.
Big rumours that Juve want Cavini :( thats not good, but I don't think he will go.
If it happens its going to be a massive deal

some big moves in Italy this week, Asamoah and Isla to Juve are great signings which add a load of depth and quality to the squad. Giovinco returning, also signed Lucio on a free which means we have 4 top class CBs in the team. just need world class striker now.

Handanovic, gun keeper, off to Inter from Udinese, obviously they have had enough of Julio Cesar.

Lavezzi to PSG, huge loss, see how Napoli invest the cash. if Cavani goes aswell it could prove to be disasterous.

PSG taken over by Qatari billionaires, now believed to be the richest club in the world.
The president has vowed to spend whatever it costs to be the best in the world and has a €100m transfer kitty for this season.
Rumoured that Milan will use the funds from PSG to buy Tevez

Got bought out before the start of last season, hence how they signed pastor and Carlo ancholotti as manager, Alex as well, won't be shocked if they get anelka out of China and now they will sign everyone they want.
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Yes Conte has been banned for 10 months, which he will appeal this as it has been an absolute witch hunt from the start!! It is in regards to his time at Siena and he's being charged with "failing to report attempted match fixing". There is ONE witness, who has also been charged, saying Conte knew a game was fixed and then there is every single player in the team saying that is false. But because of the corruption in the FIGC they are saying all these players cannot testify while the one witness against Conte can.

he originally had agreed to a plea bargin with the prosecutor to have a 3 month ban but that was strangely overturned, (plea bargins in Italy are common occurences so the individuals and courts can skip possible lengthy legal battles and expenses) This was so he would only miss the first few league matches of the season. Bonucci and Pepe were also going to be banned but have since been acquitted.

Update on the Conte ban,

Conte has lost his appeal against his 10 month ban in an Italian court. While one of his charges was thrown out, the 10month sentence still remains the same. In a press conference earlier today Conte seriously cracked the S***s at his disbelief that the ban was upheld, worth watching. the bloke is not happy at all.

Juventus have said they are 100% behind him, and his legal team are preparing to take their appeal to CAS.

Meanwhile Massimo Carrera, an assistant at Juve has taken over first team match day duties, and helped lead Juve to their 4-2 Supercoppa Italiana victory over Napoli.

Serie A starts this weekend, should be another interesting season in
Italian football, with the normal politics, scandals, referees controversy and all sorts of other stuff.
Never a dull moment
Juventus definite Favorites but after that there are 6-7 teams that can challenge for the scudetto.

Juve kick off the season with a routine 2-0 win over Parma at the Juventus stadium. Milan lose 1-0 to promoted Sampdoria. Inter knocked off Pescara 3-0. Napoli beat Palermo 3-0 in Sicily which is a solid first up result.

im expecting Milan to fall away this year, they lost the 2 most important players in their team and haven't covered the retirements from last season. once the injuries start taking their toll as they always do at Milan, their depth will be seriously tested. Gallani needs to get on his bike and make some good transfers asap.
