Also says that Doropolous, Harris, Borgas, Crosthwaite and O'Brien will not be offered new contracts with the Redbacks

Doropolous - a little unlucky after a few good one day performances when he did play, but victim of smaller contract lists

Harris - we now have phil, would not be getting a game in front of him

Borgas - had numerous chances to prove himself at 1st class level, not sure why he hasnt quite got there lovely batsman to watch at grade level, makes it look very very easy.

Crosthwaite - never had a contract, he was upgraded wasnt he on the points system. Believe Ludeman is coming into the second year of a 2 year deal and anyway Tim Davey is the best keeper in the state and should be getting games, dominated in grade cricket with the bat also last season.

O'brien - feel sorry for this bloke, the man recruited as our spinner because we didnt want to play a spinner, was only ever used to get through some overs i feel. Is a very handy one day bowler and t20 bowler, quiet and unassuming thought he played a role the redbacks forced him to play at shield level.

His now 27 years of age and has averaged 32.00 last season and has a career first class average of 35.00. I dont care if he has the worlds most perfect technique and is a quality 50 over batsmen he struggles at first class level.

Geez blokes like Steven Cazzulino, Joe Burns, Liam Davis, Alex Doolan, Peter Nevill, Wes Robinson have better averages than him.

People carry on like his the reincarnation of Don Bradman.[/quote

Let's hope we don't hear any comments about producing and playing " local talent" from you then. How quickly we forget the Ryan Harris saga.

Massive difference!!!!!!

Ryan Harris was our best performing bowler at 4 day level and then was let go.

Hopefully his not given the 'golden ticket' his had for the last 5 years!

With the batting line-up we have i would be happy for him to come in at number 6 and try and find some form down there leaving us with

Hughes
Klinger
Cooper
Head
Christian
Ferguson
Davey

Davey has this position for the first half of the year, until Alex Carey takes his spot.

Hughes should dominate on the Adel Oval deck. Hopefully with Hughes, Klinger, Head, Ferguson, Cooper, Christian we might actually be able to compile decent totals each game..
