Interesting to see some clubs trying to get some big name players cleared before the deadline. It will be interesting to see if any more clubs try to rush through more.

Flanker, I reckon the two byes in four weeks is not good scheduling.

Bankers are looking good and it's great that the Devs have gone back-to-back wins.

Anybody know much about the country carnival or whatever it is this weekend? Is it true that the HFL does not have a team of its own but our HFL boys are in a team with blokes from other leagues? Sounds a bit odd so I might have heard wrong.

It's the state country championships. The state is divided into 6 zones and play in a round robin tournament over this wknd in berri. I believe the hills are apart of the central zone with Yorke pen and Adelaide plains. I could be wrong tho.

Gorilla - I think that's correct. I'm unclear though how HFL players are picked, most other leagues are a part of a carnival & then get picked eg Mortlock on the EP - Western Zone selection. Did HFL have that this year? Queen's birthday weekend?
I think 2 byes in 4 weeks is rubbish.

No hills blokes going to Berri by the looks so all should be rested for the next round.

has been playing finals for six straight years and collecting three flags in a row has made adjusting to the taste of losing a little difficult for the Devils. The last two weeks have had a much more familiar flavour so I reckon we'll try to do a bit more of that over the next few months/years/decades.......

Pretty sure some hills boys made the trek to training at mallala tonight. I reckon there will be some hills players representing the hills footy league this weekend in the state.country championship at berri.Representative football is an honour it is a pity it has.lost its importance due to many reasons. Those who put up there hand still value the real reason for playing football for a club or association not individual status or finance. Congratulations to all who tried out and.those.who made the team.

Yep I do believe there were quite a few hills guys at training. Can anyone from the respective clubs let us know which of their players are playing if they know?

From Lofty, I know Burch went out but did a hammy at the first training.

I know IB had Chris Schneider and Gareth Williams invited also.

Schneider trained but hurt himself on the weekend (out for a few) & Williams hasn't played the last 2 games for IB due to injury.

So with it being the last day before cut offs there would surely be some last minute deals going on?
Have heard a couple of rumours come out of HFL office

- Hahndorf have picked up michael handby, and narrowly missed out on getting backwell.
- Mt lofty have lost several players which will hurt their recent rise in form.
- Birdwood and Echunga are both keen to have a crack at central in 2013
- C grade GF most likely to be played at Blackwood again under lights no matter what the ladder order come season end.
- Adam Luitjes from loftys selected in central zone team due to the hype created on this forum
- Shaun Tait to boost Onkas C grades forward line in a cameo appearance
- Safooty poster Just Quietly would take a bite at the hook even if it had no bait on it.

I'm flattered to make your hilarious list of half-useful re-hashed info.
1. Handby is pending.
2. No clearances from Lofty are pending so not sure who Lofty have lost.
No doubt by now your dial up has sh$t itself though.

Still not on the Hills FL clearances page. Well if that happens, so be it. Rumour has it mining jobs pay a bit.
But I still stand by my team & think that they could scrape another coupla wins & stay up. Who knows, when it comes to the crunch the Country div club may not want to come up. There have been conflicting posts about that topic.
If all this makes your day, In & Under, so be it.
