I think he's gone. Port shot themselves in the foot when they said he could have up till the midseason break to make up his mind. When they won those games against the Roo's and Carlton they should of done everything they could to sign him when they are getting results on the board. At the moment things don't look so rosy at Port.

From what I hear, his mum is quite fine with him staying at port. His sister is the one really pushing for his return.
Like any club, port are trying hard to get the family to relocate.
I still think its still 50/50. Maybe tipped more towards port.

Disappointing for Port, but he would be weighing a lot of things up and the fact Port prob wont play finals for nother few years can't help

Longer it goes on, the more certain I am that he's gone.

As for North giving him a big offer, I would've thought that was premature given that I don't rate him as highly as some others obviously do.

Of he wants to move and wants big money then north would be in. He wont get that type of offer from the cats.

It would be somewhat embarrassing if he ended up at another non-Victorian club.

Port lose him, and he's still not with his family...

But a multi-million dollar contract? That's like family.

Happened with Mitch Clark.
At least money can't ground him when he's been a naughty boy.

Not trying to be a troll, but is he as good as people think or is his rating just on potential?

Not sure he's been given a Dangerfield level of publicity ;) , granted he is yet to play his best football and we have seen little of him this year.

Mid-2011 he showed what he is capable of and he is a genuine elite player at his best, no question about that.

I'm beginning to fear we have lost him.....but, he was the catalyst 2 years ago for the likes of Gray, Trengove, Moore and a couple of others to sign and I believe they saw his signature as an important one for the club going forward.

I'd be disappointed if he left, but I was with Burgoyne, Stevens etc etc too. You dont want to see good players leave the club.

Not far off and Dangerfields level was higher due to his actually being in the media on Nova and 5AA.

I think he is a good player, who 'could' be elite for sure. He hasn't strung together solid patches of 4 qtr efforts (5-6 games worth) but he has the attributes to take the next step(gets his own ball inside, big work rate and can also get it on the outside and finish well). Will he become 'elite' if he stays at the Power? IMO No, as he hasnt got the players around him (and wont for a few years) that you need to take some of the heat off him. Judd had (kerr and the carlton crew), Swan and Pendles have eachother + ball/beams etc, Mitchell has Sewell/Hodge. Who do Port have that will take the heat? Hartlett cant string games together, neither can Gray and the rest (Jacobs, Wingard, Moore et) arent at the level yet and will take a few more years of development.

Its a tough one for Port, they arent really in a spot to play hard ball and been burnt before doing it..... Not sure how this will pan out.

Thats because he is half the player, just the same as Port get half the coverage because they have half the supporter base the crows have

Melb are in apparently and may have some first roumd picks to work with. Of course depends what happens with viney but they could be in a position to use pick 4 if needed. Geeelong or north cant do that.
