Could anyone on here post a comparison of ages between the sides, it was a very young Central sides with at a guess Lawton, Schiller, O'Brien, Marschall, Reichart, Hannath, Vater all been under the age of 21 and Gowans been the only player over the age of 30.

I've done a quick calculation, although I am missing a couple of ages from both teams. Central average age on Saturday was about 23.8 and Glenelg 22.5.

The myth the Gowans are automatically guilty of anything they're accused of......

Out of curiosity, how many times have each twin been reported, actually been found guilty and suspended?

I think James hitting Schubert in the 2007 gf is the only time I can recall either have been suspended.

That is correct UK Fan. I helped do some research for the Gowans' book that will come out when the boys retire and whilst they have been reported a few times, James GF suspension was the only one.

I have a feeling they both got 1 week, reduced to a reprimand due to a clean record, along the journey as well. For all the talk of them being thugs, they do have good tribunal records.

who calls them thugs. Maybe niggling shite stirrers and the masters of getting under peoples skins. One pretty ordinary incident, which appeared to be a square up does not a thug make. Wish they were playing and my club

Round 13 - Glenelg v Central POST GAME DISCUSSIONS

Postby RustyCage » Tue Jun 26, 2012 3:57 pm

They aren't dirty players, they just have a constant physical presence on the field, always happy to get involved in some push and shove, mostly starting it. If you were a Centrals player you'd certainly walk a bit taller out there knowing one or both of them had your back! On top of that they are damn good footballers
