Port Adelaide 2012

All discussions to do with the SANFL

This discussion also seems to overlook our 4 Champions of Australia, only existing club outside the VFL to gain an AFL licence and of course an AFL premiership in 2004. Perhaps 35,000 financial members are worth noting as well.

Probably because the above is an irrelevancy to the reason port are bottom ATM. Port fans should know about irrelevancy, Just refer to your AFL team.

Not referring to "ease" of winning.

I"m referring to winning the premiership in the main competition. I would compare it to some extent to
1) South Australia being relegated from the Sheffield Shield and playing in a second tier comp against the ACT and NT, and then winning the competition.
2) Winning the relegation round of Davis Cup.

I"m fairly sure one of the Gowans when discussing his premiership record, mentioned that they (the brothers' record) shouldn't be compared to Geof Motley's because of the respective eras they were won in.

Your club was irrelevant for 30 years.

We've got a bit of way to go to catch up to that.

Who would replace bamford if he was to be sacked before the end of the season ??

Mark Tylor, he would show no mercy.

It may be irelevant to the Port SANFL current ladder position but is extremely relevant when we compare Port Adelaide FC to Central District FC. 12 SANFL GF's in a row yet barely 2,000 members and bottom 4 for attendances this year. Surely your efforts would be better utilized in heping your club gain more support rather than constantly bagging other clubs - just a thought!

He is, by using this forum, He is pointing out to prospective members why they should follow Us & not Port.
Perhaps your 35,000 FINANCIAL members should cough up a bit more moolah too.
Anyway, We are here talking about the good old Maggies & they don't have 35,000 members. I too thought they would go a lot better this year than they are & I worry for their future.

Maybe you should start another thread. Cos this one says port Adelaide 2012.

I'm assuming when you speak of centrals crowds you are referring to the minor round and ignoring the rest. Cos dogs have attracted the biggest crowd in the sanfl every year for 12 years in a row.

So bad mouthing other clubs keeps fans away. Maybe you should of let your board know that.

True, just hearing a lot of negatives about him up Freeling way.
Not knowing the bloke there are always 2 sides to the story though, perhaps he is trying to instill a bit of discipline and professionalism into the side and the lads dont like it. One guy I spoke too said he yells too much, well boo f****n hoo was my reply, bloody kids dont appreciate a good spray anymore
