the 2 umpires we had on saturday were excellent..best we have had all year..one was from mt gambier and told us how he would umpire the game and thats exactly what he did..fwiw the count was 10 for and 21 against but they were still good..

i would post this in the div 6 thread but i cant..no need to lock all of us out FC..just ban the transgressors..

Why do you count free kicks?

because we can..it amuses me and gives me endless hours of entertainment..

All i want to do is have a whinge about North Havens change rooms and I cant even do that.

Those change rooms have copped some abuse if the stories I've heard are true. Andrew Dickenson graffiti-ing the walls with faeces, etc

Well you can only track so many things.

Counting something you have no control of seems pointless.

Cheers to the West Croydon lads that came in after the game for a beer. Met the A grade coach and had a couple with him. Seems like a great fella and definitely a good figurehead of the club.

We count free kicks amongst other things. Within the free kicks it's goals directly from them

We do too but it means squat. So far this seaon we are running at 3 out of 10, go figure. That said, the umpiring in general has been really good.

I don't no if you can read that much into free kick counts, i think it is more important where you get them. This may be all in the forward 50 which can results in goals and change a game.
