Dalwood saying at least one club likely to be seeking a new coach at season's end:
It’s been alleged the Eagles coach Brock Gifford has given notice and won’t be there in 2013 so will he tank their performances by playing young players, finishing bottom to get maximum points and a favourable draw for next season because his coaching clock is at 2.30am instead of 2.30pm.

Yeah, interesting reading there. To suggest Tailem may 'tank' to get more points next year when the coach won't even be there baffles me, not to mention the fact they just recruited 2 blokes from the SANFL a week ago who I am sure don't come up for free.

Still, wouldn't mind if they throw a game this week as with injuries I see is struggling to get up again

What a complete and utter load of crap.

This makes absolutely no sense at all! No club nor coach in their right mind buys players in only to 'tank' the very next week. I would've thought playing youngsters is a bonus regardless! As for the brothers playing b's... um didnt they walk out and only returned recently more than likely a little under done?
To top it off if the coach is on his way out what would his next coaching application look like if he finished bottom?!
If Talem pull it together they could still sneak into the five.

Bears keep getting better each week. With the inclusion of Trent Hentschel next week they are becoming the team to beat.

Given the amount of imports they have, is the league going to continue giving them an extra 2 points in following years? Fair enough policy, but if they are getting this assistance, i would have thought Jervois and Tailem, for various reasons, would quality for something similar as well.

As it is, it seems the amount of recruits they have, is disproving the theory that they have a difficulty getting people to their club.

Motlop has aspirations to coach AFL and because of this he has received an indigenous scholarship/funding or what ever you want to call it to develop his coaching ambitions. With these resources they will make sure he is successful.

Daniel is the coach and James Moore is his assistant, I would say this is a very similar set up to most player coaches, Chris ladhams and his old man for example

How Micky Sumner wasnt named best for Tailem is beyond me, best on ground for them by a mile!!! C.Swannson 1st Best - Bad Call

Great to see the Bears get a win against Mannum. Lot of locals in the goal kicking too, great job by Motty and Moorey.

Good game between the Roos and Bears. The Parndana Pie-Eater was not seen all day before jumping back over the fence from the canteen, and plucking a couple of big grabs when the Bears really needed them. Too many passengers yesterday for the Roos and the young Meningie players in Smart and Rowe were very dangerous in space.

Couple more new players from SMOSH for Meningie yesterday also, but I believe they're 0 pointers. They would have 10 new players and kudos to them for getting them down there.
