Round 13 - North v Sturt @ Prospect Oval (Sat 23/6)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Jun 18, 2012 11:57 am

The Roosters would be very disappointed with their showing against the surprisingly bottom placed Eagles, especially after their great win against Norwood the week before. The Double Blues were poor against the Panthers, particularly after their last clash was a solid win over the Doggies. North had an issue not being able to beat Sturt last year and will want to change that, especially on home soil this weekend. Expect Jimmy Allan to bounce back in a bog way as well, after just 9 touches last week.

North easily more consistent than Sturt this year. You'd have to choose them above the win 1 lose 2 Blues of 2012.
Chooks by 13 to 24.

Agreed. If north had won last week I would have thought we'd be a chance. If north have the talls that south did, we have no chance of stopping them.

Although getting sheedy and thommo back will help. I'd like to think we could win but head says north by 5 goals at most.
Carn the blues!!!!!

Screw you Dutchy. Was just thinking that. Huge game for both sides, especially with Sturt having 2 games in hand with some of the final 5 competitors.

Well, if Sturt can't win with those ins then we're stuffed. Who can really pick the form of these two teams?

Yep some huge Ins for Sturt.
The only difference between 3rd and 9th is the luck of he draw with in/outs on a week to week basis. North do add an extra element of chance into that theory being so inconsistent they can beat the top team one week and lose to the bottom team the next. Not sure who wet conditions will suit the most. A draw.

Depleted North team with backline severely under-manned. Newbee to slip in for first game possibly. If jenkins plays forward he should kick plenty and I honestly think Sturt will win by plenty. Unless of course the other North team roll up, switched on, ready to play for one another and put their body on the line. Making the correct decisions and always giving the first give, forward to running players attacking the goals and kicking long to a one on one contest. Stewart actually giving a contest and Allerway kicking straight after out bodying his opponent and taking mark after mark. In that case North in a cliff hanger and I will shout the bar.

Game day for a Rooster supporter, hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.
