Any news on Butcher?

Port Adelaide’s SANFL side will be without Power listed players John Butcher and Steven Salopek for the Round 13 clash. General Manager - Football Operations Peter Rohde explained Butcher’s situation. “Butch has been rested to manage his workload,” Rohde said. “It’s likely he’ll have plenty of work to do in the second half of the year at AFL level, especially with Schulzy out.” Salopek will miss again with a knee injury. “He was close this week, but he’ll have another week off and hopefully be right to play next week,” Rohde said.
NICK Salter will make his long-awaited return from injury in the SANFL this weekend.
Salter has been plagued by a foot injury for much of 2012, first injuring it during the NAB Cup clash with West Coast before being forced to undergo surgery in what doctor’s referred to as a ‘freak occurrence’ of the same fracture.
The versatile 24-year-old will return through the Eagles reserves side, which face the Magpies at Alberton.
