Richmond season 2012

Talk on the national game

2 teams that were desperate to win tonight, so to get the choccies against an opponent that never gave in is testament to how far the Tiges have come.

To have players stand up and kick big clutch goals in that last quarter is one of the big pieces to the puzzle they've been needing to add, and tonight they did.

Yep, rapt with the effort tonight. Didn't play as well as we did last week against Hawthorn but it some ways was a more impressive win. To be challenged the way we were in the last quarter and find a way to win shows how far we've come from not only three-four years ago, but also just in the last ten weeks.

The belief the players have in themselves, other teammates and the coaching staff and their structures is evident now, which IMO, is the one ingredient all the best teams have to have.

And Trent Cotchin is elite.

History says they will lose this one and disappoint again.

Everything points to a loss, Saint Kildas fav ground to play at, in good recent form at that ground as well, not alot of injuries!

Better than Centrals. ;)

Saints haven't got a ruckman. Maric will dominate. Richmond will get first use more often than not. I'll have money on the draw but the Tigers should win IMO

Tipped them by six points, I'll take that result.

Well said. How good was Cotchins first quarter! Absolutely elite player now. He could easily win a brownlow in the next couple of years, if not this year.

Also, Morris' job on Milne was sensational. Titch Edwards is becoming an important player in our side as well. We have Fremantle(home), GC, GWS and Melbourne in our next 6 games. We need to win all 4 of them to really prove we have come a long way. Need to win the ones we should win.

Don't mean to piss off any Tiger fans, but I thought you were lucky last night. Good game though. Jack got alot of Daniel Motlop type goals, by sitting off the back and the ball falling in his hands.

How bad is Clinton Jones though. Twice in the last qtr he went the man instead of the ball. My nomination for worst afl footballer.

Hanging back off a pack, why semi retarted St Kilda backman jump into each other. Reading the ball and judging it in the air is the reason for those goals. And Clint Jones can't be the worst footballer, because Justin Koschitzke is in the same category.

Lids for the brownlow? Has been pretty consistent this season and with our run home he could potentially feature very well.

The teams in red are our next 6 games and the green are our last 6 games. Got a very good draw and i think he will poll very well.

On another note i think the Tigers will finally play finals footy again, but could they push a top 4 spot given this run home???

You'll go close to a top 4 IF, one of the Hawks, Coll, Adel, WCE or Essendon start dropping off. They look like being top 5 between them but it doesn't take much to drop a position or two. Mind you, you have to keep your on ballers and Jack fit. Losing one or more of them and you might be in a spot of bother.

With that run home, there is no excuses whatsoever for not making the finals from the position we're in.

All kidding aside, even if you got knocked out in an elimination final, I would love to see the Tigers actually make the eight.

Don't rate them TSG....

Hehehe, in seriousness, yeh, missed themout. So make that 6 teams and if one of them starts dropping off then Richmond are a chance.

Being reported that the club has sacked Daniel Connors and suspended Dustin Martin over off field issues.
Connors was on his last chance after his booze incidents last year and has had his contract terminated whilst Martin is suspended indefinately at this stage
