Hogg Premier heavweights Darksiders and MILLERS squared off this week with the Darksiders emerging victorious with the better balanced side for this week's byes. This result ends MILLERS unbeaten streak in Hogg Premier League but they are still top of the ladder despite the loss. As I said several weeks ago these two look a lock to meet up in the Grand Final so Darksiders are on track to win back to back titles and an unprecedented third Hogg Premier League flag.

Other sides who might have a say in that are Q Man and the Underdogs who going nicely at 8 wins 2 losses. Q Man recorded a solid victory over Hawkeye who scored reasonably well this week while the Underdogs got the percentage booster by trouncing the Bluegonners. Another side who I predicted big things for earlier in the year is Hondo who is starting to sneak up the ladder Dutchy style and he's now one game out of the eight and probably not that happy with Squeaky and the Captain winning their matches and staying ahead of him.

Poon Army won the Ipswich derby after both coaches went all out to win this one at the trade table. The Empire copped four donuts though thanks to Sheeds and Hargraves strained heart muscle. This puts the pressure on the Cat Empire and Halem Hawks who are looking to fight it out with an inconsistent Ginger Ninjas to avoid the drop with the Bluegonners....um...gone.

I had a lucky break this week (and CK was unlucky) in that I don't have Treloar. CoverKing has Treloar and he turned into a donut basically. Also, captain Ablett go you good thing!

Needed Ablett to stink it up. Opens me up a bit now to missing the 8. Need to win this week

Finally getting around to strengthening the team up now that were getting through the bye rounds. Swung in Boyd and Priddis last week and it paid off by winning all four leagues this week. Will take a look at some defensive upgrades now.

Two games plus percentage clear. You aren't in yet but I reckon you'll make the eight. I reckon everyone bar BlueGonners can make it at this stage. Very even despite the top two dominating.

It was carnage in the Premier League for the top teams this week as three of the top four sides got beaten. With teams fighting it out to get into the top eight or avoid relegation the top sides were vulnerable to a coup and several top sides took a hit this week. The big winner out of this (as always this season or so it appears) is Q Before You as once again he has scored a relatively low score yet still picked up the points. This result was not a good one at all for Dutchy who now drops below the dreaded black line.

Halem Hawks are happy though as they picked up a nice old percentage boost courtesy of the BlueGunners who have been dragging the league down this season. We do seem to get one of these every year and this time it's the Gunner's turn. This is why no team has ever gone down to Division I and come back to the Premier League.

The way the comp is now I'd say that 17 teams can still win it with 17th ranked Dutchy only one game out of the top eight. There is plenty to play for over the coming weeks least of all us shmos who are looking over our shoulder trying to avoid getting banished to Division I.

Gingernuts looked primed for this round and the predicted loss for me from SC Gold before the round started was about the loss I ended up with. I had a win with Boyd spudding up as his captain but then he had huge scores from Rockliff and Hanley and I had 27 from Clarke and Gibson combined.

His strategy was very good. One total tank followed by two very strong weeks. I think that was the way to go.

I got lucky yes, but I did have a very good look at Dutchy's team. He had as many outs as me so I didn't bother trading (cost me wins in other leagues though).

Still feel lucky to get away with the win in the end though, had a brain fade and forgot to set my captains and emergencies.

Boyd had VC and that's who I would've gone with anyway, but copped a unnecessary Pendlebury donut when I had 100 points from Taylor Adams on the bench unused.

I was too busy getting smashed by you that I didn't even notice Adams on your bench!

I was however wondering what sort of mood you would have been in had Boyd pulled out so neither your C or VC played #-o

It was 'Viva la Revolutione' this week in Hogg Premier with the top four sides on the ladder all being defeated in the 12th round. The top teams appear to be in 'conservation' mode after the bye but teams on 4,5 or 6 wins (well that's most of us) just don't have that luxury as their is a very fine line between making the finals and being relegated.

The big winner this week was CoverKing whose Dont Drop Catches have now moved into the top four at the expense of Sharksta's Underdogs who got rolled by fellow Piglet side Ginger Ninjas. Dutchy got an invaluable win over Squeakeroos so the opportunity to make a late run into a grand final could possibly repeat itself in 2012. Hondo, Halems, Empire, Poon and the Captain also got important wins in what has become the most even Hogg Premier League competition in Hogg history. On the other side of the coin thebarton, Corky and Woody all copped losses they could have done without.

With the bottom side out of the running there will be one very unlucky team that goes down to Division I with them and at this stage it is Woody who is in the van as they have struggled a bit in recent weeks. The loss of Scott Pendlebury and the reluctance of the top teams to burn a trade on replacing him (and another to get him back) is probably a contributing factor to this week's freakish results.

Well done Hondo. I'm happy the loss didn't put a top 2 spot out of reach.

My record against Hawkeye is shocking and he's got me again this week. I lead by 296 but I've used four more players, five including Spurr's donut. See ya next year boys. Need Joel Selwood to do a Dean Cox and Buddy to do a Ryan Hargreave to get me back in it. I've only beaten Hawkeye once in four seasons!

I look ok at this stage against Squeakaroos but today's games will decide it. The main swing factor will be th captain battle. Me Gaz, him Selwood. We both have Gaz and Selwood. Also he has Patton to cover Buddy if he misses and I have no cover. Tex Walker my unique premium is hurting being out.

I am a chance to knock off Dont Drop Catches.

DDC 102 + Cyril, Suckling, James Mcdonald, Selwood and Dickson

WYC GAJ(c), Birchall, Giles, Boyd and Steve Johnson.

Hope GAJ has a big one and puts it beyond doubt.
