20 most influential coaches

with all the talk on the players,i wonder who people think are the most influential coaches in the saafl today
people would be loving to pick their own,some would do it on results but others would look at different reasons as in the changing of a culture,the redevelopement of a list and club ect
results are one thing but to be honest some clubs would be winning no matter what person was in control

One would have to say the Riddler would be up there, also think Trevor Hill (SPOC) should be highly rated.

Definately Trevor Hill at SPOC, plus Jamie Thomas at Kilburn and Eugene Warrior at Salisbury Nth are both class. Sean Jackson from Flinders Pk has good credentials also. But the no 1 for me is Trent Mills. He has the Premierships at the elite level over a long span.

1 Trent Mills - how many premierships in a row?
2 Jamie Thomas - grand finalist at Salis Nth, Flag at Kilburn plus more I'm sure.
3 Trevor Hill - premiership at Goody Sts, SANFL coach at Norwood, flag at SPOC etc etc
4 Eugene Warrior - has the makings to be very good.
5 Sean Jackson - undefeated flag at Flinders Pk, and oversaw the club to 4 flags from 4 teams in 2011.

Tony Roach, 5 A1/D1 flags at 2 different clubs from 7 Grand finals. Brought a level of professionalism to our club that took us from a good A1/D1 club to the club that everybody hated.
While never actually played under Tony but his influence on the whole club was truly remarkable.
Might not be every-bodies cup of tea. But helped my career as a player in the lower ranks

Sorry, stand corrected Sturtman. The C's and D's were undefeated I believe. Also forgot Nathan Grainger. Back to back flags at Mt Lofty, reserves coach at West Adelaide and premiership coach at Gaza and a reserves GF appearance at SPOC. Very impressive record and liked by his players.

Did preseason training under him during his time at the club. Let the lower grades join in during the early part of preseason for fitness if they wanted to. I might not have had the skills for D1 but he helped from a mental perspective and listening to him speak inspired not just A & B graders at the club but other grades as well. Just look at our club record in his time with us, He got the best out of all players in the club. Believed that any player was capable of playing A grade and turned at least one D grader into A grade player.

Im with Informer on this one! Dutchy hasn't set the world alight this year with CU, infact im sure they were registering better performances last year. From what I seen earlier in the year, the general feel and culture around the club doesn't appear much if at all different...
