And no doubt there are a few innocent people in Yatala. The problem with College Clubs is that they are more convincing liars than the rest of us!

No doubt some clubs are better at dealing with the tribunal than others.

Must be the suits they wear to the tribunal ;)

Must say that I have represented a few in my time and the tribunal has got it right in almost every occassion. Plead your case but honesty within the bounds is the best policy. Lie thru your teeth and you get what you deserve. You don't have to be a suit, but wearing one looks impressive, your player too. but for the thugs, NO ONE should represent them.

Not hard to be a better lawyer than me. However the post is true. Some people are better liars than others and more educated people tend to pull it off better(especially over the very short period of time you have them at the tribunal).

Actually I do agree, I think its because educated people are able to articulate their thoughts more clearly and have a better ability to think clearer and quicker on their feet when challenged

After watching a lower division game in the WAAFL on the weekend I have come to the conclusion the SAAFL are doing a fantastic job. This game was equivalent to div 6 and the standard was litterally worse than reserves grade of div 6 saafl. Things I took note;

*1 side came out from their changerooms @ half time and I was near their rooms and instead of smelling deep heat all I smelt was dope!
*The same team in the warm up were doing end to end and trying to mark behing theirbacks and kicking 50 metres in the air....possibly related to my first point.
*the boundary umpire was that far behind the play the umpire asked a bloke in the crowd with a beer in hand to throw it back in.

As much as I was laughing it was a disgrace.

I remember a bloke in Mildura when I was up there who smoked I reckon 10 bongs before the match, he told me "i smoke bags, I kick bags". He then kicked 13 straight. These blokes were not in his league....

Is that why Kenilworths old rooms smelled like they did because you copied that blokes practices.

Went to see a div 4 ammos game in the Melbourne city division a few weeks ago.
Strange!!
No alcohol served in game time (can drink, but over the other side of the clubrooms & the umpire can call the game off if there's any abuse if booze is present) & soft as butter, very skilful but was like watching a school 1st 18's game.
Absolutely no biff, there was a pulled jumper punch & the crowd started squawking to the umpires to take control.
After the game pressos are 15 minutes after the siren.
Both teams attend
Seconds get about 2 minutes, best gets $20 voucher 2nd best $40 for best.
The president awards a voucher to the oppositions best as judged by the home team.
Opposition coach blows smoke up the home teams arse.
Home team coach gives a short 1 minute speech & awards $20, $40, & $60 vouchers.
The president gives the sponsors a wrap, even suggesting that all get down to the local pub to show appreciation (basically, piss off when you finish your drink).

Ended up in a pissed argument about how a guy like Luke Ablett would play in a team for just a chance at a $60 voucher.
They swore black & blue that no player is payed in their association.

We all bitch & moan at times, but this was like entering Bizarro world.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

I dont mind the preso side of things, with my Rugby League we used to do similar, give the opposition awards to give their best 3 and present 3 of our own, both coaches thank the opposition for the game etc and have a small speech, thank sponsors etc.
Found it built a good relationship between clubs/players and encouraged players to stick around the club after the game and encouraged opposition to come into the club and spend some $$
