It doesn't matter about the result - the important thing is some people from the League and a whole bunch of hangers-on got a free interstate trip and all the clubs paid for it

Sorry but thanks to the support of West End it is actually sponsored - but gee thanks for your input

Perhaps if you spoke with some of the players like I have and find out just how much this has meant to them and how in some cases how it is a life experience, then you may not be so down on the concept

Trev Baust voted BOG by the umpires
Will O'Malley voted BOG by the Tasmanian coaches
Toby Schulze voted BOG by the SA coaches

John Boxer kicked 5 straight (including 3 in about 3 minutes in the last quarter)
Nick Jolly kicked 2.4

Interesting that umpires, SA and Tassie coaches picked different best on ground players.

Not sure I was 'down on the concept' but if that's the best Tasmania can do then why do it?
Irrespective of anything else bar a plane trip and pneumonia for those who played in the backlines, give us an insight into what else they did.

From what I could gather from Ellis Burchell last week, we had to win well to get the home final against the other finalist so it wasn't a waste of time

Does anyone know what the result was in the WA/VIC game (presuming they played)?

Did it mean that much to the players that generally ran amok in the community down there over the weekend? Public drunkenness, vandalism and even sexual indiscretion that led to a text message being sent to all the players upon their return about not speaking to the media today?

Well played, South Australia, anyways...

Ha ha if making the state team means you can do that I wish I was better at footy!

Bit of fun for the lads typewriter. You win a game, away from home in a different state and the players let their hair down. Heard a number of the stories from the trip and while not ideal, they certainly are not going to be locked into their hotel room at 10pm. Footballers are footballers no matter what era and will kick their heals up and will all play up and chase sheilas and just do what footballers do. Play on...............

If you are teling me it didn't cost the League (i.e. the clubs) one red cent that is bulls*it - I remember a couple of years ago the League paid $5,000 for Gino to go overseas for one of those even bigger waste of time hybrid game trips

Ask Yank Man, he seems to think it was only a bit of fun, he's heard all the stories.

If you don't want to say what happened, why say anything at all?

Heed this warning...

Unless you have undisputable proof of any of these alleged happenings, do not, and I mean DO NOT make your accusations on this website.

Not only does it bring this site into disprepute, you are also potentially making defamatory accusations against the league and it's representatives.

End of this discussion.

Bahahahahahaahahahahahaahahahaahaha This game should never have taken place what is the point of it, just stick to WA and Vic thats where they will get something out of it, rumours are rife with what happened after the game footy chick, dont worry i'm not going to say anything on here. But someone has to say something somewhere...
