I don't think he has improved one bit from when he burst onto the scene as a 17 year old who looked to be destined for bigger and better things. When he left he was slightly built with pace. Now he is still slightly built but has no pace. Not exactly sure where he fits in given he doesn't have the tank or skills to be a midfielder. Unfortunately I think he will always be one of those players who probably stands out at seconds level but is unable to make the transition to league. Very similar situation to Hicks a few years back.

I disagree. I think Hall has been ok and is an important player in the team.

He has played some serviceable games. He is not the only player under performing. If he can get 2 or 3 goals each game with limited opportunities he is worth his spot. Should not drop chest marks though at this level. Doesn't help his confidence.

I agree but he isn't doing that. In my opinion he seems to find himself in the wrong position all too often - the ball seems to go over his head or bounces a few metres away from him.

Unfortunately there are not many players in the reserves putting pressure on his spot, or other players that aren't performing.

Ultimately, can anyone name a player that is performing better this year than last year? Parry, Jarrad, Greiger and Rowntree have been serviceable but I couldn't name one of the core 15-odd players that have actually improved - the majority have gone backwards. I haven't watched Glenelg closely this year but I bet their fans can name at least 10 players in their team that have improved.

Raymond is probably playing as well as he did in the minor round last year, but not as well as he did in the finals.

Might sound a bit stupid, but I think we really miss Guifredda in the backlines, just because he plays that inconspcious, under-rated role and allows Day, raymond and McKeenzie to play in different ways.

Still think next year is Hall's make-or-break year, but obviously that doesn't help us at the moment.

Three other players that left over summer, Hill, Geddes and Symonns were around the fringes for a long time, would all be getting their opportunities at the moment, and give us that depth we need.

If he could get 2 or 3 goals each game he wouldn't be with the Eagles - he'd be in the AFL. Not many small forwards have averaged even 2 goals a game over a season? Callinan and Phillips got close a couple of years ago and were straight on to AFL lists.

He has a hand in a fair percentage of our goals. He can fumble the ball at times but at least tries to move the ball on quickly.
